I avoided A as a dating prospect for this reason only..but this time we met, I realised there's a chemistry between us. We spoke about my ex as well. And A's opinion was that now that your ex broke up with you and us dating someone else he should have no opinion on your life about who you date or meet. And since my ex had an objection with me being in touch with A, A commented he would stay friends even if my ex had an issue with it

I didn’t love it either and this is the book I use as an example for falling short of expectations. I HATED the way the main character was written. Even on the first page I was immediately rolling my eyes. It’s an unpopular opinion since the book gets so much praise but it just didn’t do it for me

It's a known glitch that happens with comments. I get a notification but can never see the comment unless i look on the user's profile.

I'm sorry that this is how you see it. But you've never clarified what the question is after i asked for clarification. If you can reiterate what exactly the question you want me to answer is, i will gladly try my best. I thought i was answering it but apparently i wasn't. Is it what i consider "trained" to mean? If so, then i consider training to be any education and practice that a person can get to do a certain thing. Does that answer the question?

I don't see how my anecdote is pointless as it is the paramedic's literal job to provide first aid. A person that has a first aid certification doesn't automatically become a paramedic.

Back in the pre-rona days, I did actually work for a tech company that gave us a transportation stipend (AFAIK it was given to all employees). It was ~150USD per month, IIRC. Didn't cover my commute time, but it did cover the cost of bussing to the office and back every day. (~1hr and 2.75USD each way every weekday; I was otherwise making 28USD/hr (later 35/hr) as a junior SDET.)

Then 'rona happened and the transportation stipend went away. Instead, we got to apply for reimbursement for the cost of our Internet every month, up to a maximum of 70USD/month (which was nice, although my home Internet cost ~85/month).

I'm not sold it's that. They're exhibiting many things right wingers espouse minus a outward political bent.

I mean, flip a coin, it could be either but I'm just as inclined given the info to presume they're consuming a fuckton of fox adjacent YouTube who tells them this.

Yeah, Fury road has the edge in coolness of the action. You are right, but dont forget about the Japan scene. It was so long for just the beginning of a movie. It could very well replace a ending climax of any other action movie. Plus the fight scene at the gypsies was nonstop intense action for 6 minutes. Overall, it seemed to me like 70 or 65 percent of movie, if you include epilogue at the top of those stairs, was just cool violence.

If I could place all my ailments on paper, slowly pick them apart, and slaughter them, this is what it would look like.

Everyone likes picking the 'pretty and shiny things'.

When, in reality, we all have demons to slaughter.
