Most of those problem are down to an inefficient system, which could easily be described itself as having alignment problems Even sensible management and governance could support 20bn people if it focused on the environment and survivability.

Did you miss the part that this is a chart of Federal Prisons and federal crimes, not state prisons with other crime types? It's literally in the chart.

Do you know the difference between federal crimes and state crimes? Focusing on federal crimes and prisons without looking at state prisons and convictions is only giving a small portion of the big picture.

Can attest to that one unfortunately. I'm on very high doses of hydromorphone (which for those who don't know is much stronger than regular morphine, 1mg of hydromorphone is equivalent to 10mg of regular morphine, and a small dose for me is 8mg of hydromorphone but have had to take up to 18mg before at doctors instruction) due to a combination of the seriousness of the pain and also the fact that my body for some reason is insanely good at processing medications, not just opioids but all types of meds, i always need far higher than the normal dose no matter what the medication is. So i was in the hospital when the dumbass doctor decided to give me benzos at a dose that was 4 times higher than they normally give to help me sleep cause i hadn't slept in almost 4 days, and i was far too tired to catch the problem until it was already too late. Scariest shit i've ever experienced.

Why are you not able to imagine Occam’s Razor here? Young dude stays with friends in Boston for a month and random Karen calls in the out-of-state car that’s been in her neighborhood for 30 days. Not that difficult to imagine. And whether you like it or not, requesting the dude after-the-fact to register his car in Massachusetts even though he’s a permanent Virginia resident is beyond silly.

Because I can show that every judgement of a movie's quality is based on or influenced by personal feelings, tastes, or opinions, and is therefore, by definition, subjective.

The camera being out of focus can communicate a character being disorientated, or act as a shorthand for a quick motion, or direct the audience's eyes to something more important in the shot, or maybe a filmmaker wants to make a dreamlike film, where like in a dream, it feels impossible to focus. Leaving the camera out of focus is just yet another tool in a filmmaker's belt, and using that tool isn't "objectively bad." Similarly, having actors mumble their lines is a choice to try for a more realistic conversational style at the expense of clarity, it is neither an objectively good or bad thing, just a personal decision made by a creative.

The idea that every movie should be clear in its message and visual presentation to be "good" (an opinion I see repeated a lot) is much like believing that realism is the only valid style of painting. It's pretty silly to me, but then again, it's all subjective so it's perfectly fine if you have that opinion just don't pretend you are objectively right.

In the Fibonacci sequence, each number is the sum of the two previous ones. It is helpful in computer science, for instance, for creating random numbers and sorting data. Natural examples include the spiral shapes of shells and galaxies.

LNI actually employs a number of angry crows. The key is to leave out berries, bread, a small tank of fish, and expensive red wines.

Maureen may have reported you (fuck you Maureen), but rest assured, the crows investigated and confirmed the report.

As far as I understood, Brightwood is a program that the influencers signed up to, (though some were created for it) which is like an online Alternate Reality Game (ARG), to stop/reduce mankind from committing murder. They are programmed to fully assimilate into the world. Maybe they were criminals and this was an alternative to prison/death, or maybe it was just for views. I may be very wrong, but regardless, I love this story! The way it weaves back and forward is excellent. Can't wait for more! (✷‿✷)
