One of Hitchcock's things was suspense.
A bomb that explodes is not as terrifying as a bomb that does not explode.
These days it seems that 'suspense' is all jump scares, and with CGI, it is easy to have huge bombs going off everywhere.
Also you might have to fight off Kubrick's Droogs about who is the most 'auteur'.

Tracking time is entirely a human construct
There's no reason we can use a Universal clock for the whole planet. Technically we have that UTC or Universal Time, also called Greenwich Mean Time or GMT.
The problem is that people base their day on the time. Noon is when the sun is the highest, you go to work for 8am, etc
If you use Universal time noon would be in the evening in North America and people don't like that. Which is why timezones exist.
Timezones are kinda, not really, but mostly just lines drawn on a map that says "for this area the clock will be X hours ahead or behind GMT so that noon is when the sun is directly overhead"

I'd recommend but I wish they'd kept to the true story. I dont need forced car chases and KGB menacing children on a balcony. The cold war aspect was more than enough for a filling stew. Hell, they omitted the Russian co-developer who also came to the States and ended murdering his wife and kids. There's enough crazy in the true story without adding in generic bullshit

This is the issue with people like you. You want to spend hours running in circles trying to make me equate something I think is minor to something I think is major.
I WILL NEVER THINK THAT KILLING AND EATING AN ANIMAL IS THE SAME AS A KILLING A HUMAN. So fuck off and go argue YOUR morality with someone else.
I am two seconds away from doubling my meat intake just to make up for your lack of eating.

Are they even allowed to be taking to them? They are known to be represented by a lawyer paid for by their insurance company. Isn't this ex parte communication?

In the winter the only access to the trains is by snowmobile. Most clubs in that region have closed their trials.

I agree, it shouldn't.
However, that's the society we have constructed and the business culture we allow to exist. Wanna change it? Advocate for stronger unions and consumer protection laws. Or, as the right would tell you that means: vote for socialists.

While this is true at a surface level it's another exponential process (within reason and limited by logistics). You build your initial factory and every robot produced does nothing else but bolster the infrastructure necessary to build more robots until you hit some critical mass of production and then send them out to do everything else (all calculated and coordinated by the AGI). That's the smartest thing to do but it relies on the government pulling their heads out of their ass. Instead we'll probably continue to rely on capitalism and draw the whole fucking process and pain out way longer than necessary.

It's exciting because of the refrigerant that is used. Most modern AC units use 410-A. Switching to CO2 is better in case the unit leaks gas (410 A has much higher global warming potential)
