Thank you. I think it is somewhat unlikely I will end up there incidentally on this trip, but it may prove relevant.

Once last year a goddamn dump truck passed me on the right using a right turn only lane and then cut me off. And that was right after a dump truck driver killed someone on Mass Ave. Professional drivers are often very bad at driving.

That's not what's happening here. This area - specifically this intersection - has been hospitaltown for like 50+ years.

Reply to comment by AcademicGravy in Heat Pumps could supply 20% of building heating by 2030. Supercritical CO2 heat pump sales in Japan have now reached a total of 8.5 million units. by DisasterousGiraffe
Most modern, as in currently sold lineups of home range units, systems use R32, which has significantly lower impact than 410a while not being dreadfully inefficient in low temperatures...
So no, switching to CO2 is not really a way to go, it never was, is might be a great idea to sell heat pumps for users that need high temp, but those should not really be using heat pumps in the first place most of the time so yeah, great thing.

Honestly I’d just do Uber. You can set your own hours and can actually do pretty decent if you worked Friday and Saturday evening. But I have done it during the day as I’m not a huge fan of a the weekend crowed. I’ve also do door dash more often, which is nice if you don’t want people in your car.

I highly doubt a working dog specifically trained for goose control will be pooping in the fields willy nilly, and that the Department of Public Works and Parks supervisor won't clean up after their dog.

That story reminds me of something one of my teachers told me about his experience as a child in Germany during WWII. As children were indoctrinated and parents could get into trouble for things they said, his father was very careful in his talks with him on walks, which he described to me as "deprograming" though his father was careful about what he said. I think he also conveyed the idea to his son that he needed to keep his mouth shut to stay safe.
It must be horrible to live in a place like that, but if one does, it is often wise to keep one's thoughts to oneself and not make public declarations.
