If I need to restart I just press the restart button on my case and that turns it off instantly and starts the restart (not sure if that’s even a good thing).

And also, I simply can’t help but feel you’re grasping at straws. No one’s life is impacted That much by a 4 second difference in restart times you goober.

I agree with the updates they can’t definitely take a few minutes which is absolutely miserable.

it's useless to have 120hz with 60 fps going to it

or sell that high refresh rate monitor and get you a nice 75hz with freesync/gsync and maybe that could free up some budget for you to make the components more doable.

my 10700k + 3060ti played d4 beta at ~80-100 fps @ 1080p but what you have to realize is 4k is literally rendering the same picture with 4x as many pixels (granted with more details) and every frame requires 4x the data that a 1080p monitor would.

I saw a fairly upvoted comment on /r/worldnews about wanting to basically balkanize the internet into "west vs east" and cutting off complete access to Russia and China. It's amazing how people are so ready to punish millions of innocent people and adopt very authoritarian measures just because they hate Russia and China.

It really makes me think of when Reagan made a speech saying "Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall". But nowadays, it's the West that wants to put up walls. So much for the ideas of freedom and liberty.

Not too long ago, Virgin Orbit was in rarified air among U.S. rocket builders, and executives were in New York celebrating its public stock debut.

The scene was true to the marketing pizazz that has helped Sir Richard Branson build his Virgin empire of companies, showcasing with a rocket model in the middle of Times Square.

The deal, facilitated by a so-called blank check company, gave Virgin Orbit a valuation of nearly $4 billion. But that moment in December 2021 – when the craze surrounding public offerings centered on special purpose acquisition companies, or SPACs, was dying out – previewed the pain to come.

Now, Virgin Orbit is on the brink of bankruptcy. The company on Thursday halted operations and laid off nearly all of its staff. Its stock was trading around 20 cents Friday, leaving it with a market value of about $74 million.
