I think one of the differences is how badly Germany lost vs Japan. Germany was broken, crushed, and occupied completely, and had no say in how their own country was going to be run going forward. Japan was also fully occupied, but not through outright conquest, but through an agreement to surrender in the face of overwhelming force. Japan still had a great deal of fight left in it when it surrendered, and infact still occupied a lot of territory in Asia. In essence, Germany had the Nazis beaten out of it, whereas Japan had to and still to this day has to contend with the fact that the militaristic nationalistic side of it never died, it just had to slink away for a few generations

How will marriage help in this situation? I don't see any complications that OP is facing that marriage would preclude.

My wife and I bought our house two years before we married and split the tax stuff equally.

I cannot stress this to you enough, but I'm going to try.

Don't base your opinions, good, bad, or other, on an awards show.

Every winner of Best Picture ever wasn't necessarily the best movie that year. The will of the people isn't reflected by any award show, especially not the Academy Awards.

In this case, however, they nailed it. Great movie, great cast (Shortround, Yu Shu Lien, and Laurie Strode are in this MFer!), and a great, albeit weird ass, story. Watch the movie with no expectations and decide if you like it or not.

I had to stop taking benzodiazapines altogether after getting C-LAM. That shit is bad decision making incarnate.

I would always start with the very best intentions, but then it would kick in and I'd inevitably black out and wake up in jail or the hospital a few days later.

I wish I could take benzodiazapines to sleep, but instead of going down, I wanna go on some idiotic adventure. I become a mindless automaton and shell of my former self.

Now I don't use them at all, if only to avoid prison and death.

They are certainly terrifying. Lol

I had no idea idea what water tables were and now I find out.. well now I click.. that ofc there's water under land! It didn't occur to me. So it's the bit where the groundwater meets the soil?

That means we have water on water below us. The fresh groundwater and the ocean that our land floats on top of. You also don't really think of diving under a country do you. I've gone on a tangent..

Aah yes water above and below 😌
