This is really only a thing with devices that take low voltage consumer batters (AA, AAA and the like) for reasons already described. There’s tons of devices with a single battery, sometimes an embedded one and sometimes removable. My camera, for instance, takes a proprietary battery and has its own charger. My phone and laptop have an integrated battery. I have a lot of devices that take a single small button cell batteries that are used in watches. I have tools from an electric screwdriver to a leaf blower that all take single proprietary batteries.

>It should've been obvious to you that i was talking about movies made unskillfully, not directors or actors choices.

You did make a distinction. If intent didn't matter to you then there would be no difference between a director choosing to film an entire movie out of focus and a filmmaker who doesn't know how to operate a camera doing the same thing if both movies were, in your opinion, total shit.

NJ has strict laws that towing companies must abide by. Based on OP saying that ShopRite said they do not own the parking lot and combined with the other similar posts of this nature where OPs complain about this happening in the same area indicates to me that a towing company is “Trolling (cruising) for vehicles parked without authorization;” explicitly prohibited by law. Also, there are strict requirements for signage that are also outlined. I don’t know if Shboprite complies with them though. This seems like something that would be worth bringing to the attention of the city council. It sounds like a towing company is praying on residents.

I agree that fighting it in court is probably not worth 180 dollars but if we can get this towing company to stop doing this it would be a win for residents.

This. I grew up in Ellicott City and we had the Chatham Mall nearby, anchored by a K-mart and a Caldor. I remember my mom didn't really like shopping in either store, and as soon as the Long Gate shopping center was built in the mid-90s with a Target, that's where we shopped, lol. Target has always felt like a much nicer store, even if it sells the same kind of product.

I was just there today. There are usually only one or two employees in there but they’re helpful and friendly. It seems like they have strange rules… if you’re there in person, they need more documentation than, theoretically, if you were to conduct the same business over the phone (“Theoretically” because it’s impossible to do business with them over the phone). Such documentation would be picture ID, one other ID like SS card or birth certificate, and proof that you are allowed to do utilities business at the property… a lease agreement, proof of ownership, etc.

It’s weird and frustrating. It took me the past 10 months to take over the gas bill at my house.

We don't exactly split things down the middle. I pay for some bills, she pays for others, and it all comes out to roughly the same, give or take.

We have a joint savings account for travel, home improvement, and other things we're saving up for. I've added her to one of my credit cards and I'm one one of hers. As far as shared finances go, that's it.

I teach windsurfing and i find my most important task for the first few lessons is to encourage people. It's so hard to do all the things at the same time right and it's easy to get discouraged falling in the water time and time again.

But it's totally fine to keep falling over and messing up. That's a normal part of learning. The trick is to see the fun in the messing up and trying. Someone screaming at you and being judgemental at such a time is the fastest way to kill your fun. I'm sorry that instructor did that to you.

I just want to encourage you to go out and play again, by yourself like you did before your lesson. See if you can find that fun. Don't let one jerk ruin it.
