To me it is passive aggressive and it’s probably an extension of social media culture. People haven’t learned how to interact with strangers in the real world. Somehow humans figured out how to communicate their want/or not of a handshake for hundreds and thousands of years without a color reference palate. It takes something away from social interactions if your body language can’t do the talking and instead you just have some color label to express your emotions/desires.

You're actually right. I'm a software engineer but taught myself electrics, plumbing and carpentry over the years to carry out repairs to my home. I've fitted a whole bathroom on my own and did all the wiring on an extension I had built in my house. I'm sure I'm capable of getting work as a plumber or electrician if things go to pot (carpentry is probably a bit too dangerous as you're breathing in dust all day) but I really don't relish the idea of that. It's hard physical labor, I like getting paid to sit in my nice warm house to mess around with computers.

The six-sided slot is for a hex-head fitting. An Alan wrench or key is needed, and are commonly found at home improvement stores, etc. The picture on the left looks to be a special tool needed, so that one is probably best to avoid. Be sure to support the glass and put a folded towel over any metal or hard surfaces it might come into contact with. Tempered glass is tough, but when it breaks it does so in spectacular fashion into a thousand tiny pieces.
