He is definitely a master of photorealism. I especially love his paintings of women applying/touching up makeup on each other.

Past life impressions!

When I'm out urban sketching, I try to do the whole thing, soup to nuts, right there. With more finished pieces that I do on, uh, begins with co and ends with mission (trying not to break the rules and get deleted here), such as this one, I will generally take source photographs onsite and work from them at home. Particularly with a large size such as this (22"x30"), that saves me a day of standing in the middle of the intersection with a gargantuan piece of paper. .

Really tho. Maybe I was seeing things. But it seemed like one of those optical illusions that when you focus on let's say the left the right seems to move. You look at the right and the left seems to move. Either way bad ass painting my friend. I'm only skilled enough to point my camera and press a button to get a cool pic like that. You recreate the whole damn pic from scratch. À+

This is my interpretation, That males bodies never (or rarely) get censored, whereas female bodies are constantly sexualised and always being censored
