Grocery store to buy a shit ton of non-perishables and just about anything else in an get my hands on.

If nukes drop near me, I’m dead anyway, so plans don’t matter. If was collapse infrastructure, I am going to need as much as I can to ride it out.

Worst case, nothing happens and I just have no perishables for the next decade or so.

Stay where I am and keep doing what I'm doing because I'm not in any danger.

Most of the other answers on here highlight the general lack of understanding of how nuclear weapons are used. In no scenario (outside of movies and video games) are nuclear powers lobbing nukes at each other's countries.

Nuclear weapons are wasted by attacking civilian populations, rather they are used on military forces on or approaching the front line, logistical hubs near that front lines, and forward staging areas.

As for the question about fallout and nuclear winter...

In the 21st century we now know that the idea of MAD or nuclear winter is far from settled science. This post over in r/AskHistorians gives a great breakdown on the history and difficulty of figuring out whether these things are even possible.

Seriously...

It's bad enough having to live next to it. The thought of actually going there ever again is stomach churning.

It's not like I could even if I wanted to. Their border agents will issue bans to people for doing things that are legal in their own country but illegal in the US. Imagine if everywhere else in the world banned Yanks from entering the country because they owned a gun at home.
