Hey, all I am in some pretty desperate need for some help finding a blanket. I have this blanket that has been in my family for 40ish years it is by far and away my most treasured possession. I have used it daily for about the last 20 years and with all the frequent washings and pets has taken some significant wear.

I have been searching for something similar for the last 5-6 years and have not had much luck and I turn to you to help me find a new one. Here are some pictures of the blanket and some up close picture of the fabric. https://imgur.com/a/naxiltC

Some information about the blanket, I have always been told that this has been a wool blanket and I believed that as it has kept me bone dry while I was stuck outside at a concert/fireworks during a torrential downpour and tornado warning. It also keeps you warm but breathes so you don't sweat. However, I am able to wash this and even dry it with heat and it does not shrink plus, when it comes out of the dryer after washing it is extremely soft. It initially came with a satin border but that has long since fallen off. It could potentially not contain wool but it really seems like it does.

I do not actually believe this to be a 100% wool blanket due to its ability to be washed and dried with heat. I have tried a number of blankets that I have returned like the Pendleton Eco-Wise blanket, 80% wool Military style blanket, and the 100% wool Poyet Motte Blanket. I also have a few other blankets coming to compare like a 100% Merino Wool Pendleton blanket, a Berkshire Alpaca Wool Blend blanket, Poyet Motte 67% wool blend blanket.

The closest blanket that I have found that I have kept is the SackCloth and Ashes Wool Blend throw. However the biggest problem I have with this blanket is that the size is just not big enough and is nearly impossible to use as a sleeping blanket.

I am willing to try almost anything to find another one of these blankets however It has been nearly impossible to google and find a large wool blend, 20-50%, blanket using google as they almost always return 100% blankets. Being able to find another one would really be able to make my year.
