I want to look fashionable in a way that's durable over time, but am having a hard time finding it, even in this forum.
I don't want to dress in men's clothes, but it seems anything specifically designed for women is made to fall apart.
I'm looking for things like a wool coat (LLBean is the only one I've heard of, but they're on the wall of shame)
Good shoes (I've heard a lot about thursday's and have seen the goodyearwelt subreddit, but what about summer shoes? are birks the only option? dress shoes?)
A good bag (ideally comfortable to run in without being unpleasant to look at)
and cloth pants/pantsuits/nice shirts/dresses (I assume these are much more limited by fashion trends, but any is good.)

I'm really fucking tired of being forced to choose between fast fashion or looking like an awkward tomboy, honestly. No shame to those who dress like tomboys on purpose but I'm tired of it. I don't want to spend a month each year figuring out what looks good and how to shop for it. >:(
Edit: thanks for all the fantastic recommendations!
Edit: It seems a lot of people are reading this as "please send me high-end recommendations". I'm asking in BIFL because I want that sweet sweet lifetime warranty. please focus on these! I've definitely gotten a lot of good recommendations - but good items turn into great items when they're covered for life.
Edit: apparently this is unrealistic :(
Edit: Due to the volume of recommendations I'm probably going to do the totally sane thing of putting all this info into an excel sheet, evaluating it, and then sharing it back to the community (in maybe a year? It'll definitely take a while!). This data will be crunched. The sheer scale and size of the fashion industry is not beyond my capacity for nitpicking and organizing. Eventually.
