Over at r/castiron, you can find many posts showing that non-stick can be achieved on cast iron. I got my first cast iron pan last year, and I was a bit surprised that it was truly non-stick. Since I'm not worried about protecting an engineered surface, in case of stickage, I clean it more aggressively than I would a non-stick pan.
I still have a non-stick ceramic-coated pan for sugary foods. Otherwise, I feel like a fool for buying non-stick pans.

I have multi clad All Clad and cast iron and I always reach for the cast iron. I cook everything in it and it always turns out perfectly. I do like the All Clad sauce pans but not the skillets. Just leave the cast iron on the stove if it's heavy.
The small cast iron skillets make heavenly fried eggs.

I have a pair of ecco that are great. Another plus is no steel shank, but composite, so I can clear the mags at work wo removing my shoes.

Oak Street Bootmakers have been awesome. They too quite a bit to break them in because they are true leather shoes but I love them and I have 2 pairs now and they’re the only brand I buy. I will be buying a pair each year

Try High Plains Sheepskin. They rock and are wide (I hate narrow shoes of any sort) and they have a hard sole option

I’ve had a pair of these for over a decade now and they get better every year! Probably due for a resole soon, but I really love them

I have the exact canner! Uses Presto rings.
My second canner is from the 1940's.
I've never had a problem with either. Both bought at garage sales for $10, around 37 years ago.

Try r/goodyearwelt. They'll echo what others have said about cycling, so expect to buy at least two pairs if the intention is daily use

Carbon steel. Seasoned properly it’s non-stick like cast iron, but it’s lighter.

Yes. Apparently the mixer starts to wear out when you mash potatoes with it regularly for 51 years. :P

don’t wear any leather dress shoe every day. the leather needs time to shrink back. it leads to stretched shoes that are uncomfortable and fall apart. if you get 3 pair of the same quality shoes and rotate every 3 days they’ll last far longer than 3 pairs back to back.

Reply to [Request] Looking for a bedroom floor/standing lamp that provides lots of light by Silvermoon424
This is not a multi head but I have one called Brightech SkyLite LED Floor lamp, got from Amazon, costs between $60-$70.
Been almost 3 years, still works as new.
Super bright (for 15" x 15" room) and reflects light from the ceiling. I like the little button switch which is at right height say if you are lying in the bed, press and hold to dim or brighten and tap to off/on. The switch also has a very faint orange led so you can find it easily in a dark room. One cons is, it can be a little wobbly, but if its going in a corner, not too big a deal

I’d add some “cutting board oil” to the wood to keep it from cracking and keep it soft

istim 805 Recently got this and it will run a lot of electrical patterns (constant, sine wave, rapid on-off, etc) which can be tweaked. It’s about the size of an old cassette Walkman. It’s strong enough to be too much, but the intensity is variable.

It's not unnamed. Generation Alpha started in 2010.

I have plenty of merino that lasts, one of its benefits is you rarely need to clean it, it’s naturally antimicrobial. Follow the care instructions when you do clean it and it’ll last. I love merino because it’s warm but breathable, so I don’t get sweaty like other kinds of wool.

If flats or low heels are your thing, French Soles hold up well. But they are expensive unless you can find them on sale.

First I've heard that term. TIL.
I think 2010 seems a bit early and cuts into Gen Z period. But that's just me.
