I'm not sure how old you are, but it sounds like you haven't been around long.

>To be honest, their laptops have always been plagued with hardware issues.
Their laptops are great. Solid performance and incredible longevity.

>The best made laptops are Dell Latitude
I currently own a Dell Latitude and a MacBook. Both are well made. I prefer MacOS to Windows. I wish Mac had a full featured version of Excel.

>I work in IT
That in itself is not impressive or meaningful. There are hordes of incompetent employees in IT departments.

Clearly you have irrefutable first hand proof why you should never buy any apple products.

To be honest, their laptops have always been plagued with hardware issues. Usually it's cooling related because they're always trying to slim them down. The best made laptops are Dell Latitude and ThinkPads. I work in IT and am in frequent contact with tons of laptops.

I figure I’ll use this one consistently but infrequently, if that makes any sense. I suspect I’ll get decades of use out of it, at that rate, if all the reviews (like yours) I read pan out

I’ve never understood this. Is it just because people are envious and can’t afford Apple products? Who cares if their platform is different?

Wow, I gifted my parents a Daylight Plus 5 years ago, had no idea about the guarantee. I'll let them know

My Gen. 1 iPad is still going strong. My kid uses it to watch shows. They are built like a tank. 12 years and still going strong.

I have an osprey day bag I use everyday. It has hip straps that tuck in. It’s my daily bag for work, my day hiking bag and my travel bag. Been all over the world with this thing and it’s still kicking. Not a single tear anywhere. Def worth the money.

Come on... only Apple product EVER? No Apple //e? iPod nano? iPhone? Mac? I know many people will refuse brands for one reason or another, but you don't know what you're missing!!!

I bought mine in 2009, 2014, 2015, 2019. Every one of them is still working perfectly. I love the longevity of these products.

I have one of those in my office (iPod video) New battery and a big SD card to replace the old small spinner and I have a huge music library at my disposal. Has line out dock and remote too. I love mine and use it all the time.

Mine broke around 5 years ago and it was very sad. Then I realized I had an Android phone with an SD card slot and it was no longer a problem.

I have this same model (in silver). Years ago, I dropped it in water, and it stopped working. I set it aside, in my cupboard of obsolete electronics, but then just recently I decided to plug it in and see what would happen, and it magically came back to life!
