I use Paracord. If you're worried about aesthetics you can get aglets

I have around 50 pairs and have the same issue with some of them. Each style can fit different, even in the same size and height. I have some 1/4 socks that are like barely over ankle and some that are half way to micro crew. Maybe DT can guide you to a better option?

Home Depot had the lightbulbs for those systems on clearance.

Imagine being in the airport staff... They must have the biggest EDC collection of all time.

it’s not cumbersome at all! it only takes like 5 min to change it up. we don’t change it every weekend, only when we feel like binging movies!
we only have 4 seats though, so it’s not like we have much to move around. 2 deep cushions and 2 normal ones.

That’s what I’ve been carrying for about 3 years now. (Card wallet) and I love the design. Craftsmanship has been impeccable

I second the Lowes, they lasted me over 8 years. I’m currently considering Mammut as a replacement for them.

You are not going to get a buy it for life couch for under 10,000 these days. You can get a very nice couch for under $3,000. We are enjoying the Radley from Macy's. They go on sale all of the time. We got ours for almost 50% off.

Hoka has an awesome pair but they’re around $250 USD

Mayo brand is reliable from what I hear. We were couch shopping several years ago & were sold on the build quality & how other companies skimp on quality parts. For example, most companies use cardboard on their couch arms. Mayo's were more solid built.

Am I the only one who has an issue with the fit of these socks? They are really tight on the top of my foot where my leg connects.
I had one pair that were so tight they hurt to walk in & I had to get a replacement (which was painless).
Do they eventually break in? Love the quality and the lifetime guarantee but I can’t get past the fit.
I don’t have abnormal feet (AFAIK).

L.L.Bean slippers. I am wearing them right now and the are the most comfortable slippers I have ever owned and look and feel really well made. I hope they last as long as promised.
A set of Victorinox kitchen knives. I haven't had time to use them yet, but I am really looking forward to it.
All in all a pretty good BIFL Christmas.

If one uses a quality leather wax/grease, nearly any sewn on sole boot is water proof to a point. I put obenaufs boot wax on my redwings and have yet to have a wet foot from the exterior.

Do you reconfigure into and out of a pit every weekend? Is it cumbersome to do this frequently, even once a week?

Big time pro tip. Goes for most of our items with elastics. Release the pressures when you can and don’t store under tension.

I don't mind going vintage as long as it's quality.

I have 2 ipods. The 1st I bought in 2004 to take back to Iraq. It was a 6gb mini. I think those were more rare than the 4gb, or it seemed at the time. My other one is a 100gb chrome back one I bought at a pawn shop. I've replaced the battery but the hard drive went out so I need to fix that next. I like having a separate music player to hold my music when possible so as not to take up space on my cellphone. I forgot I have a tiny clip on shuffle too. It's great for mowing/weedeating. I just run the cord down my shirt & clip it on my waist usually.

Identify quality manufacturers and see if they make that style. Unless you are planning to go vintage.
