Less is more for sure! I would suggest to only buy utensils that perform multiple tasks.

All good tips above! I would suggest Tfal for non stick. Replace yearly at first sign of wear.

A genuine M51 us army issue parka is absolutely the coolest looking parka. At nearly 60 years old it'll probably last a lifetime too.

Edit-they are warm, with liner, but were designed for layering underneath. They are not waterproof. Still cool as though.

I had a pair of waterproof, thinsulate Kamik ankle boots. They were great for Canadian winters and classy enough you could wear them anywhere, wore them for about two years. But then during COVID I left them in storage and when I took them out two years later the soles disintegrated :/. Not the fault of Kamik, I learned that the rubber needs to be used or it falls apart. I think if it weren't for the storage they would have lasted a while, they were still going strong and winter is harsh up there.

Haha that’s so funny. I don’t know how old you are, but I’ve noticed that CDs and cassette tapes have “hollowed out.” Love your pic from above (the Denon and Sony) as it brings great nostalgia - I personally still “collect” or have some vinyl, and everything else is MP3 or streaming (hooked up to a receiver to drive multiple speaker sets) but no more cassettes or CDs!

Check the availability of the cd mechanism parts (particularly the laser) and if they are still available NOS buy one now if you intend to keep it going. I bought (possibly) the last NOS laser for my 1988 Panasonic boombox from a seller in Romania, experience tells me I'll get another 15 years before I have to start component level replacements.
