I like Kuhl. Their outerwear has a more custom cut, rather than sloppy, oversized.

Oh, I love OXO. Got a lot of their stuff in my kitchen. Maybe misunderstood OP’s “don’t be fooled by OXO.”

Oxo makes great utensils. Highly rated on America’s Test Kitchen on PBS.
The mandolin slicer is great and sturdy.

Less is more for sure! I would suggest to only buy utensils that perform multiple tasks.
All good tips above! I would suggest Tfal for non stick. Replace yearly at first sign of wear.

A genuine M51 us army issue parka is absolutely the coolest looking parka. At nearly 60 years old it'll probably last a lifetime too.
Edit-they are warm, with liner, but were designed for layering underneath. They are not waterproof. Still cool as though.

I've had one for at least 10 years and it's still going strong.

The Samsung one I use is awesome, it’s made for their ultra thins but they probably sell it in other sizes too

Great answer. I got one of these for like 70% off, leftover from the previous year. It’s amazingly warm and doesn’t look stupid

Do any EU bros know where to buy these for a good price? All I'm finding is 35+ € for a pair.

See above. They run small in the toe area to me. Im a 12w shoe. It hurts.

Yes, they are uncomfortably tight in the toe box for me. I wear a 12w shoe. Great socks, but Smartwool XL size is perfect.
Nothing like a good pair of socks!

I had a pair of waterproof, thinsulate Kamik ankle boots. They were great for Canadian winters and classy enough you could wear them anywhere, wore them for about two years. But then during COVID I left them in storage and when I took them out two years later the soles disintegrated :/. Not the fault of Kamik, I learned that the rubber needs to be used or it falls apart. I think if it weren't for the storage they would have lasted a while, they were still going strong and winter is harsh up there.

Haha that’s so funny. I don’t know how old you are, but I’ve noticed that CDs and cassette tapes have “hollowed out.” Love your pic from above (the Denon and Sony) as it brings great nostalgia - I personally still “collect” or have some vinyl, and everything else is MP3 or streaming (hooked up to a receiver to drive multiple speaker sets) but no more cassettes or CDs!

Couldn’t be less cool. Staple of hooligans who won’t let go of their past and coke heads. Overpriced for the quality too.

It depends on the product line you purchase from. The Heritage Series is still the original quality made in the USA, the others are not and quality significantly suffers.

I swear by Hanwag from Germany, awesome quality, no idea about the availability in the US though.

Check the availability of the cd mechanism parts (particularly the laser) and if they are still available NOS buy one now if you intend to keep it going. I bought (possibly) the last NOS laser for my 1988 Panasonic boombox from a seller in Romania, experience tells me I'll get another 15 years before I have to start component level replacements.

Tried a Flexsteel locally for how it sits. Ordered sofa and loveseat on Costco website and saved $800 over furniture store price.
