That's a pretty broad statement. I'm up to 3 years on mine and it's still nearly as good as the day I got it. Using it 8+ hours for 5+ days weekly.

Alpha Industries. It’s the parka Canada Goose based their design on. Mine is super warm.

I've worn cheap Amazon wool socks for the last 2 years, so I guess cheap Amazon wool socks are BIFL.

I work in it 8 hours a day. Add in the fact that i was 330lbs for most of that too. My point was that the leather was in perfect condition. It was the base that broke.

Hasn't been my experience. I've gotten close to a decade of use out of a $100 bonded leather office chair

6 years is not really a lot….also, I bet you don’t sit in it every day

Ok, I know this will sound like a joke, but my most treasured it from Australia is a really nice didgeridoo. I'm not a particularly capable didge player, but every time I see it I think fondly of Australia and the traditional culture there.

Important context: how hot are your very hot summers and how cold are your cold winters? Keeping feet the perfect temperature in New York is very different than in Alaska.

Agreed on the tight on Darn Tough It's almost weird. Like no other socks seem tight to me...theirs do. I always buy the largest I can get in Darn Tough and it seems to work out once they form a little.

Vitamix blender; Magimix food processor, All Clad pans, Victorinox knives for basics, then one high quality Japanese chef's knife; Ez-Duz-It can opener: Dualit classic toaster; Thermopen instant thermometer; William Whiteley kitchen scissors; OXO and Joseph Joseph do lots of good bits and bobs, but they aren't universally perfect; Pyrex glassware; Le Cruset Dutch oven.
Don't overspend on non-stick, none of them last more than a handful of years. Get a medium quality one and account for having to periodically replace it.
I currently cannot find a good quality long lasting non gimmicky kettle. If anyone has any tips!

Moose Knuckle. Some have the logo in matt black that doesn’t stand out.

Not a gripe about you, OP, just people in general - it is so bothersome to hear people constantly complain about the pricing of quality items. Seems like people are so used to pricing of mass produced items, made over seas, with crappy materials and construction that we can't get out of the mindset of "TJ MAXX" pricing...

My darn tough socks have loosened to a comfortable fit for me after a year of use.

Meh. I gave up on my grip6 belt. It’s nice and light, but I could never get it tight enough because of the gimmick. Good idea, it just didn’t work for me.

I believe the proper technique is to fold everything but socks and underwear then dump it all in the top drawer of the dresser.

What kinda ass you got? I had a La-Z-boy Bradley chair that was bonded leather and it lasted 6 years. I only replaced it cause the base had picked up a significant lean.

Askov Finlayson out of Minnesota. Lifetime warranty for defects from materials or craftsmanship. $495 and free shipping. They use recycled material - no down or fur. And most importantly it’s warm. I’d highly recommend it.
