Reply to Looking for Cool Parka for Guy by Twewy1997
We moved from the south to New England. My husband has raved about his Patagonia Jackson Glacier Parka. He never feels the slightest bit cold, and so far we’ve tested it down to around 10 degrees and high winds.

Thank you this has been my favorite answer so far! Yes this is just for training the bag stays on for about 30 min at a time I do calisthenics so it’s definitely not gonna be 6+ hours at a time. My last one held up for 4 months with about 108 pounds in it before the strap snapped from pull-ups so I will look into Alice , malice and Rats. Thanks again !

Recommendations from lowest to most expensive in price:
Standard issue military Alice Pack
Tactical Tailor MALICE pack
Mystery Ranch Rats pack (this would work for barbell plates but idk about rocks)
If you're using this for some training and that's it, I'd go Alice, else MALICE or Rats. I own a Rats pack and have jumped out of the back of a helicopter, with 120lbs on it, so can attest to it being able to carry the load, but also know guys that had the other 2 and they also had no issues. The Rats has the nicest frame, but if you aren't wearing it for 6+ hours at a time, then it's probably overkill.

I love my Aeron, going strong at over a decade.
It was one of very few furniture pieces I took with me when I divorced.

Beyerdynamic MMX 300 is a pretty solid headset. It copies a lot of its characteristic to the DT700 headphone which is a workhorse and is a staple in studio recording. The MMX 300 is pretty simple looking and has almost the same parts so hopefully, it’ll last longer than any RGB headphone.

Injinji is commonly recommended, though reviews indicate their new wool line doesn't seem to be very durable- I'd try one of their standard blends.
There's an art to getting them on properly as well, lol. The smallest toe is sort of difficult and I find it helps to do a sort of pinch-and-pull from the inside before you get the heel on

For that sweet sweet fit that never binds or bunches. As a long distance runner that never gets blisters or any other foot malady caused by inferior socks I swear by them and they still keep you warm when you get them wet well below freezing

Probably an unpopular opinion but I bought the Hyper X Cloud 2 headset on sale for $30 and they have been used almost every single day for around 6 hours a day for over 2 years. No issues with them at all

It’s a trade-off for sure. I wish it wasn’t so, but I just don’t have the budget for $100+ leggings.

Got a Steelcase v2 for 230 locally found online, and a couple days later found a v1 in a Goodwill in great condition for 20.

Check Habitat for Humanity ReStores if there’s any near you. It’s always random what they will have but I think they get a lot of stuff from office buildings and they had a bunch of Steelcase chairs at the one near me for $50, I only wish that I had bought 2 instead of 1.
