Haflinger slippers are comfy. I’ve had both popular sole types over the past ten years. A pair of either type only lasted me two years maximum. The wool seams fall apart eventually and holes develop near the front. Last year my wife got me a pair of Uggs Tasman which are similar. These too appear headed for the trash bin after two years of heavy use.

I have some (used for about 2 years) and they are comfy and show little signs of wear. BUT the “non-slip” latex sole is anything but. After about 3 months the rubber dots on the bottom had worn down and I’ve nearly taken a spill on our floorboards multiple times.

Oh no dude, it was me being stupid, I thought you mean "you would content the company for me" rather than "you would content the company if it were you who bought these sneakers", so I thought you were joking. Haha I'm learning English.

Yea, definitely recommend it, this brand along with another English brand, Goral, you may like them too

I honestly have no idea about most people. I bought a small and a medium to see which one fit my purpose better. I wanted it as small as possible since I was spending a few months away from home with just my one backpack. Ended up going with the medium.

Easy to pack, easy to wring out, easy to hang. Can still dry myself off after a swim/shower.

Edit: the one downside compared to a large is that you probably won't be able to drape it over yourself or tie it around your waist.

Damascus steel is a fucking nightmare.

It looks cool. No argument there.

However, it doesn't hold an edge as well as carbon or stainless steel, dulls and rusts very easily and requires a lot of babysitting to remain pristine.

My personal suggestion is a Victorinox chef knife. Bought one like 2 years ago and it's a great workhorse. A simple, heavy, sharp chef knife that gets the job done, resistant to everything, that requires hand washing and that's that.

I bought my favorite cargo pants one or two pairs at a time, wherever they were on sale until I had 8 pairs. I rotate them so they don't get frequently worn, or excessive wear to any single pair. They're quite a few years old now. These are Dickies, but there are other long wearing pants from places like Carrhart.

Same with Magellan shirts, you can get both brands at Academy Sports.

I only wash my clothes when they’re visibly soiled/smell or when I’ve sweated in them. Wash in cold water which is better for the environment and for your clothes. And I don’t use the dryer - same logic that it’s way better for the environment and way better for your clothes. My clothes usually last me 10+ years like this, even if they aren’t the best quality to begin with.
