I got cabelas because it’s a lifetime warranty and they were affordable. There are more expensive probably better quality but they will all fail as some point, waders are definitely not bifl especially if you use them frequently. My cabelas are going on 3 years and holding up well.

MEC Frontenac is a great family tent. We’ve had ours for 14 years now.

It is hexagonal, and It is classed as a 4+ person tent, so it can handle 4 adults like a four person tent in the central square, with room for two kids or dogs or a ton of gear in the triangular spaces on the sides.

It’s also very solid in windy conditions, and has a full cover rain fly.

When I went to college I learned some people wear flip flops every single day for every occasion in every environment. It was bizarre. Not only is it so bad for your foot's biomechanics, but your feet are also in near-constant contact with all the grime of the streets.

To each their own I guess.

I have a bunch of different size “martex” 100% cotton towels I got from my grandparents when they were both gone that I still use, I know for a fact they had them in Florida 25 years ago, and I’ve used them for at least 5 of those years, I’m actually probably underestimating. Still soft, don’t use dryer sheets much Or other kinds of fabric softener ever.

I would contact Herbert’s Boots in Toronto… They sell Canada West Romeo boots and were really helpful with sizing, etc. I bought a pair from Brooklyn Clothing and had them shipped into the US since they have much better soles than the Blundstones and are actually made in Canada as opposed to Vietnam…

Great question. I wear a women's size "4.5 Narrow" US, and finding ANY shoes that last is nearly impossible without spending a small fortune. Kids shoes, aside from looking like kids shoes, are definitely not made to last.

I had a friend that could wear Doc Marten's, and they held up well, but they're too wide for me. I wish you luck.

I’ve got a couple of Stout brand canvas bell tents that I will pass down to my son when I’m gone. Can’t say enough good things about them, they stood up to 50mph winds in the desert, extreme dust storms at burning man, a week of heavy rains and stayed dry inside. The only drawback is they’re heavy AF at around 100lbs. Don’t go for the cheaper knock offs, the build quality is inferior.
