I suggest you look at the build rather than the name. Open the drawers and check for dovetail joints. You can spot veneer by looking at the edges, especially from the back or inside the object. There are tons of good quality furniture out there thats made by local craftsmen.

Designer brands aren’t that great. They’re mainly used for the “look at me” types and signal to others that you have wallet that might be worth stealing. Go get yourself a Saddleback Leather wallet. It has a lifetime guarantee and their motto is “your kids will fight over it when you die”.

I have the small card/id wallet. My old one wore out and I sent them pictures of it and they sent me a new one. No questions asked or proof of receipt. Been using them for 14 years.

I don't know about BIFL, but my wife has some HydraPeak that have held up well for a few years.

The only reason I didn't buy HydraPeak is that they didn't publish their dimensions and I needed to make sure it would fit in the bottle holder on my backpack. I bought a few ThermoFlask that are pretty good but tend to leak a little if the flip up straw isn't exactly in the right position when you sip from it.

Whatever you get, I'd recommend buying directly from the manufacturers website because there is a lot of counterfeit insulated bottles on Amazon.

Every time I use my Hario V60 Gooseneck, I'm amazed by its elegance and it's durability. 10 years on and still going strong, I could not say the same for the Le Crueset it replaced (enamel failure).

Holds 1.4L, full stainless steel construction, outside of the handles, and the gooseneck provides precision pouring for all your pour-over/chemex coffee needs.
