That makes sense then but it's screaming for a wet wipe or something

I haven’t tried Vivo. But I forgot to mention Xero. I have a pair and they work pretty well for me as a workout shoe indoors. So far they’ve stood up very well and they’re comfortable.

Damn, that sucks! I’m sure there are much more durable options out there.

If black leggings are acceptable for the purpose, you might consider some merino wool leggings. Woolx and Minus33 both have some.

Had this same cooker for the last 25 years. My kids got me a zoberushi. I used to think the old one worked until I tried the new one.

Drug wars would be pretty cool in color.

You didn’t come off as brusque. No worries at all. We were wrong to judge.

No worries! Didn’t mean to come off brusque, just wanted to clarify. Definitely a great piece of equipment

Okay I was gonna comment the same thing but if it’s on a construction site I get it and even more a testament to its but it for lifeness

I would recommend never skimping on shoes. If you are just after the wide toebox that you can repair and resolve, rather than a true barefoot shoe, you may want to ask the folkx over at r/goodyearwelt.

And you still bitch about them? That's just sad. Ignore them like you want me to ignore the shitty posts here, clearly I'm on to something with 400 upvotes and only about ten people who are severely emotionally damaged by this like some pathetic always-online

It functions fine, is 7-8 years old, and lives on a construction site. Might give her a once-over whenever I work in an office again but for now I don’t mind. It’s all dust and dried mud anyway, not greasy fingers

I don't know what Texas Instruments is doing, but they're killing it.
This calculator got me all the way through 2 years of high school, 4 years of engineering in college, and so far 2 years of construction management. It's therefore 7-8 years old, has been on numerous jobsites, has all the necessary tools to get through every math class I took - trig, algebra I and II, Pre-Calc, Calc I, Calc II, Calc III, and Differential Equations. Just last month it was in the muddiest excavation I've ever been in, under blaring Pacific heat, and I could dependably use it for weeks without a recharge. By the way - either the battery or power consumption is incredible - my biggest stressor with this calculator is that I practically never have to charge it so I might lose the charger. That's it. The color screen makes multiple graph functions easily navigable, its software is highly versatile, it fits conveniently into pockets (much slimmer than standard TI-84's), and overall has been an amazing implement to have in my education and work.
Ill probably buy another one when this one dies in 10+ years

Piggybacking on this thread. What about other brands available now, looking for smaller ones, maybe with a hinged lid. Tiger seems to be a good option, and apparently Zojirushi only if made in Japan. Anything less expensive or more appropriate?

I have used both the zojirushi, and these basic ones. The basic ones work just fine imo and often work faster than the zojirushi.

The legend. We had a small one for over 20 years and it was still going strong when we upgraded to a larger pot.

>"look at grandmas fridge from 1940 that's still running". Not only is it gonna be impossible to find that fridge, but it's also an inferior product compared to many fridges today due to efficiency
This. I inherited a house from an older relative, and thus, had some old stuff in it. The fridge was from '52. It theoretically still worked (needed a new part installed) but would've been incredibly inefficient and expensive to run compared to just buying a new goddamn fridge, which is what we did. It also weighed 330lbs and was no fun to get down the stairs.

Me three! 29 years. It's in the camping box now but still cranks out rice 3-5 times a year. A 300AH battery + inverter is the perfect camping companion for this beastly cooker.
