Reply to Singer for $30 at shop by Hidden_Arrow003
My mom had an ancient Singer and she never wanted to upgrade it. It didn't have a lot of features and the electric motor was actually retrofitted but the damn thing could sew through leather if it wasn't too thick.

Yup, even if you take it yo a shop fit a professional tune up at $100 or so, still worth it :) Great find, enjoy.

Victorinox Climber in classic red cellidor. Bought mine 27 years ago as an electrician on an aircraft carrier. It’s still in my EDC rotation (others are a Vic Compact, Vic Voyageur Alox, and a Vic CyberTool M).

I just bought this same model for the same price, but with a cabinet. $30 alone is still a good price. Aside from the top gear that's plastic and can fail, these machines run forever and are heavy duty enough to handle denim
Edit: just want to say that old, pre 80's, Singers are the ones that run forever. Newer ones have a bad reputation for going to shit quickly. I believe the one you have is late 60's early 70's

This was my first thought. There’s a decent chance this is going to be way more simple to wire than OP imagines. Could also be way, way more complicated too. But a can light is your only possible true BIFL option

Cotopaxi 35L or the 40L (that one has a water bottle holder and a shoulder strap). Great organization features. I'm not sure of it's availability outside of the US.

Check out Dutch brand Joe Merino. I've two and a dozen pairs of the socks. Only about five years into my jumper, but it's not showing any wear yet. https://www.joemerino.com/en_us/

Agreed. In my experience, their single wool items offer the best durability. They have a tighter knitting.

Don't know where you are but oftentimes you can hop between EU Amazon stores just by changing the domain name (the country part) on the URL. Like so: https://www.amazon.de/Wahl-Super-Micro-Mains-Clipper/dp/B0060JFENI
Also, the UK version might already include an adapter and if not you can buy them in many generic stores for cheap. It's not a stepdown/up converter, it's literally just routing the pins to fit the plug.

This is why it might work in a closet, set to motion activated, where you only need it for a few minutes at a time. But not gonna cut it for extended use.

In the window. Ours is lying on a shelf. We have one on a windowsill.
We used to have one hanging on a curtain rod, but replaced it.
Anywhere sun is daily.
My favorite joke is to place the solar panels near your cats. They have always been solar powered. 🤗

Have you asked an electrician about feeding a wire there? It’s amazing what can be done with minimal disruption to finishing (sometimes).

That's what I've started doing also. I also have a thrufted Springfield sweater. Some of the are really well made. Some I had front zipper installed on so I can regulate my temperature better.

I'd love to hear what you use them for. I saw lots of ideas on Amazon, but would love to see how someone else is actually incorporating them.
