My mom had a Singers from the 1960's, not sure of the model but it still works, weighs a ton! My sister inherited it. My grandma had the old Singer with the manual foot pedal. My mom and uncle bought her a more modern Singer years later but she held onto the old Singer which went to my aunt, it still works too!

Ll Bean original bean boot. Either insulated or uninsulated and double up on socks, but they're still made in Maine and built to last. I've got the 10" shearling lined ones, on my 4th year and they still look new. They're like an insulated sneaker to walk and drive in, I don't know that I'll ever buy a pair of thick treaded hunting boots again.

True. My feeling, although I don't have any personal experience, is that a platform bed without a box sping under the mattress would sit too low to be able to get out of comfortably. Especially if a person is heavy, has a bad back, or something like that.

Soldiers already carry too much gear, he will appreciate a light one. IP67 is a pretty tough requirement to meet. The Nitecore Carbo 20000 is IPX5, and comparatively lightweight, with a tougher shell than the NB20000 it is derived from.

You want BIFL? Get a good set of traditional wired headphones with a Bluetooth adapter/amplifier. Maybe a grado sr80x at $125 https://4ourears.com/products/sr80x?variant=39583367200816 And a Bluetooth thing like this for less than $20: https://www.1mii.com/product-item/ml100/

The cans will last forever (the parts like foam are replaceable). The Bluetooth bit will last as long as something with a lipo battery can.

It is subjective because everyone’s gait and weight is different. Maybe for you it’s longer. But generally speaking, the cushion of the shoes will be long gone by the time it’s literally unwearable.

Edit: also this is the guideline for running not walking, which obviously involves more impact.

I think regular mattress stores have a few different grades of metal mattress supports but I'm not positive. I've been using my since at least 1992.

I know that Home Depot, Walmart, Wayfair, Lowe's, Target, et al do.

I've been using the same traditional style since I don't remember how far back and it's the original adustable type on rollers. I've never seen or heard of any weight issues. They come in adjustable lenths and heights. This type:
