I have a merkur futura, and a vintage Gillette fat boy adjustable. Both are bifl. I use the futura at home, gillette on the road. Bought a case of astra blades ten years ago and still haven’t used them up. Btw, suave cream conditioner is the pro tip for shaving ‘cream’ way better than anything else

Tatami Room! This is the bed i have in honey oak. Built like an absolute tank and rated for 1600lbs. Had it a couple years now and not a creak yet. Only thing is the headboard is a little high so hopefully you have a tall thick mattress. Otherwise you may lose a few pillows. Absolutely love this and would recommend 200%. Also bought two short end tables which are very well made but counter space is very limited. Drawer is very deep though.

Big solid wooden ones. Get something second-hand and out of fashion cheaply (because if it's for life, who cares if it's currently in vogue, it'll drift in and out over the years.)

Thanks! That's a great idea for winter hikes. Probably won't need it in the city.

Yeah, I should have looked for a replacement wheel instead of bringing it back to the shop.
I wonder if you can work backwards, and find luggages that are easily fixable, and pick the most rugged of that type?

Thank you for the clarification. There’s less versatility than I remembered, which is probably less than OP was looking for. But, it’s a good product and cost effective as well in my opinion.

I didn’t mind if they get used up, if I can buy the replacement wheels for it. And if they wheels are affordable. All suitcase wheels are held on by 4 screws and should be user replaceable within few mins.

Sorel is waterproof, warm, and durable. They are priced fair for what you get out of them.

I'll definitely replace the zipper -- I used a paper clip until now but it's getting more & more painful haha

Nautica Luggage.

I am retired Military, and I have a 3 piece navy blue and yellow set, that made it through 20 years of military moves and two deployments to Iraq. Despite the worse abuse the airlines and military cargo could throw at them.

+1 for Travel Pro, specifically the Platinum Elite. It’s a little pricey, but has served me well over several hundred thousand miles. Built well, packs well, and fits in all Delta planes that I have encountered.
I do have 1 wheel that is warping. Need to contact them.
