This is the Opal line? We get those for around $1500 in Norway.

I live across the fjord from Sykkylven where Ekornes is based and let me tell you, no one in Sykkylven knows the real price of furnitures. Traditionally Sykkylven has been a furniture power house with several furniture makers. I think theres around 5 left now, Ekornes the biggest among them. Aaanyway, everyone either works with furniture or knows someone that works with furniture, so everyone gets employee prices on furniture. Every house has top notch sofas, recliners, beds, tables and so on.

I have the Snow Plow but it only pushes but it's very good. However I am also in need of an actual shovel that's almost bifl, at least last 10 yrs. Most of what I've seen are plastic and the breakable type. I want one where I can plow it deep in icy ish snow and use my feet.

I live in Minnesota and work for UPS, I also wear the full grain leather Danner mountain 600 boots. If you wear proper socks, they are warm enough for most conditions.

Edit durability: Mine are going through the third winter. They are probably in need of a new insole, and I am getting tread wear. They are not resoleable, so I'd say they are a 2-6 year boot depending on how much abuse and care you give them.

I see what you're trying to say but the invasive part is less of an issue if you caught it from the wild.

The bigger concern of releasing any fish into the wild - regardless of origin - is that you may be spreading disease/illness from your aquarium that can now infect other wildlife.

I can't speak for other states but I know in the state of Washington, it's illegal to catch from the wild as well as illegal to release them into the wild. Both for disease purposes as well as protecting local wildlife in general.

Yes, known to the subreddit…for being a used product that has stood the test of time. This post is clearly a brag attempt. The American dollar is also known to the subreddit, but we don’t post our paychecks. This subreddit is not to share what you just got, it’s to share what you haven’t needed to replace.

I've got one for you. Brought my daughter to daycare. Noticed the outside door of their shed attic blown out by wind and inside I saw a glimpse of Eames fiberglass chairs.

I made a remark that those are quite expensive chairs to be standing in the attic. They took them down and appeared to be 1955 originals in nearly pristine condition. They've found these chairs years ago when someone clearing a house put them out for trash. They had 10 of them. I got a bottle of Champagne to thank me after they sold them to a collector.

God… this is also me with the dog my stepdad brought home without talking to any of us and while my mom was out of town on vacation… Because I’m the only person who gives a shit on how to properly train a dog suddenly he’s “mine” and “only listens to me” and I can’t even leave the house whenever I want because suddenly he’s my responsibility…

Are there any decent analogs of this chair that are...more reasonably priced...?

Would like to get one with a roller base as they offer with this model.

Never even sat in one, but searching many months ago, something about this chair said this is the one!

Anyone into chairs and could recommend similar alternatives with height adjustments, and recline functionality?

Fantastic to see manufacturer support keeping old tools alive. No brand is perfect, and they're all out to make a profit one way or the other, but credit where it's due.

If you're considering buying a new tool from a specific brand, and you want it to last 10-20 years, take a look online and see if you can still get parts for models they were selling over a decade ago. Not a guarantee of anything in the future, but definitely a red flag if you can't.

In the future* please don't release fish into the wild, it poses a risk of aquatic invasive species

Edit: i know its not an invasive species per se but in my state this situation is handled under aquatic invasive species regulations and its always best practice to rehome or dispose of fish kept in an aquarium so they dont threaten wild fish❤️ -avid fisherman
