Second leaf. The initial investment isn’t chump change but DE blades can be had for next to nothing, it makes shaving so so affordable.

Haha, spent well over a grand for that specific model or something very similar for my wife one Christmas. Nice find.

I have a pair of scarpa Kailash, and have had them for 5 years. I work in an industry where I'm hiking around a lot, and I also enjoy long backpacking trips/hikes. The first hike I ever took these on was a 70 km round trip and I got 0 blisters without breaking them in. I love these shoes, I got my boyfriend to buy himself a pair of the men's ,he loves them. They're a good shoe.

The only thing I think of that should be good to take apart and travel multiple times would be called "campaign furniture", but I'd struggle to call it budget friendly

that's true. I just wish I didn't have to keep going through so much, plus all the differeing syringes have laundry-sock-itis in that I swear I can never find the right pairs after cleaning them.

ya, that seems to be the general use case - cheap to make and easy to dispose. just wish I could find something longer lasting.

Reply to Looking for an Egyptian cotton goose down comforter (1000+ thread count & 1000+ fill power) by Ok_Marsupial6435
Feathered Friends. Their jackets are used on the highest peaks of the world. They are based and mostly manufactured in Seattle. 850+ fill power goose down which is basically the best you can get. Anything higher is kind of a false claim and only exist under very controlled lab environments. Gonna run you $800+

Try it when the machine is hot. Once you got it, I suggest replacing it with a countersunk stainless hex screw, this reduces the profile and makes it easier to remove it. I often had an imprint of the original screw in the puck, not a huge deal but I like it better without it.

I have red backs both as boots and safety boots. Legit the most comfortable safety boots I’ve ever had

Any dresser or chest sturdy enough to survive multiple moves is going to be bulky. Instead I suggest you look into shelves or racks with bins to organize your clothes. Google “clothes bin organizer” to see what I’m talking about.

Thanks so much for getting back to me! I'm glad that they got comfy for you.
This is my first time buying nice boots for myself so I'm excited for them.
I guess you gotta do, what you gotta do 😅

I drove 100km across Melbourne just to buy a used Gaggia Classic off of gumtree 7 or 8 years back for $350 and even then I prob could've got one for 250 if I hadn't been so impatient. I gotta start scouring thrift stores for products that granny's don't know how to google the value of!

The problem with syringes is that they need to be washed thoroughly between uses and most are made to be disposable. You're going to struggle to find a syringe manufactured to be reused, and with hard wearing markings

It really surprises me how folks are still praising the Blundstone brand, a lot of people don’t like redbacks because they’re bulky and not stylish - though I think they look pretty cool

I do not think what you are asking for exists, but there certainly ARE industry standards and well-understood machines that create a repair environment probably quite close to what you imagine.
A LOT of nicer machines, for example, are built around an E61 group head, so accessories and replacement parts are easy to find.

I'm looking for something lightweight, though. I'm disabled and am trying to find things I can move by myself; which is part of how I ended up using plastic drawers. Was hoping there were sturdier alternatives to the Sterilite brand ones. Thank you for your suggestion :)

You likely made the right decision. I’ve a Gillette from 1958 that still works and shaves to a super high standard. They’re built to last and cheap to run, unlike the Harry’s and dollar shave club crap other users recommended.
