You're welcome. I should add: I've had 3 of these blankets with a toddler absolutely abusing the blankets. I've owned them since 2020 and there are no signs of wear and tear.

And when the current vehicle is a Honda, that could be a loooong time.
But hey, maybe any remaining questions of EV reliability, battery replacement costs, or end-of-life handling will be resolved! THEN I can look at an EV!

No. Probably not. This is post-1968, which is the time pivot where the quality declined significantly. I'd be curious as to how much use it's actually gotten. Nonetheless, you may end up being very happy with this item and it won't matter when it was produced.

It's linen. You can tell by the slubs in the weave.

I'm an 8.5 - in your experience, because they only come in whole sizes, would you size up or down?

What's confusing about it? Plastic is the lightest, most durable, most cost effective material for grocery bags. In the western world they are disposed of in state of the art landfills and every bag you use in your life will be less waste than the last mattress or couch you threw out.

I bet those weren't made in China though. Not that all Chinese stuff is bad, but it doesn't have the same history as the old Revere Ware stuff

Engineer's ruler, it has six different scales, quite handy for drawing scale diagrams.

A 1:100 metric ruler really seems to have limited interest.

Rainbows my go-to. On pair #4 in 15ish years walking almost exclusively in them. Take’s a couple weeks to really break them in but after that they’re good for years and 1000’s of miles. This current set’s strap should have broken years ago but they’re still trucking. Back up set waiting patiently in closet. Worth at least trying out for $60

Hi, hijacking the top post to thank everyone for the responses so far. Opinions seem to be it is either muslin ( a type of cotton) or linen (flax).
I'm going to get samples of both to test, although in my search I came across a 300gsm Italian linen sheet which looks incredible.
Someone asked about a label, all it says is "Duro superb quality guaranteed R.T.S.A tested"

Do you mean linen as in flax?

I wear mine for both and they look fine, maybe the steel caps would look a bit out of place but these are soft toe and aren’t to bulky.

Of course they’re not BIFL but they’re still what this group was made for, durable and well made products.
I’m impressed with mine so far, aside from spending half the time covered in cow shit they’ve also been used around fireworks and are still holding up pretty well - though whilst greasing them I did notice one of the heels is a bit damaged
Edit: I’m very jealous your employer gives you them for free! Good on them

Yeah, I get that, but like it's litteraly the same graduations except it's marked 'm' instead of 'cm'.
Seems more useful with less trivial scales, like 1:25 and others.
