Thank you so much for explaining! :) They look very nice!

The crinkly noise is probably due to the very very tightly woven cover fabric from tightly twisted thread which is somewhat stiff to keep the down inside. Sign of quality.

The ones I have are the Kipuka Hulu, and the description of the insole is the same as for the Moloa. So I would assume they have a nice cushion. Not squishy like memory foam, more like soft rubber.

Renegade is a solid choice in given your description, well built and important the sole is pretty long lasting, the paths will take a lot out of many walking boots, but the low soles are a bit more flexible and last really well

Thank you! :) Have you tried the Moloā Hulu or the Moloā Slipper? Do you know of there is some cushion in these?

I have a Kenmore that my mom bought new in 1976 because she was flirting with the salesman. She never used it, but I ended up with it several years later and I'm still using it.

I love Falke wool slipper socks. The fuzz and knobbles on the base are insulating and feel good on a hard floor. Had mine for 5 years and no holes or problems. Wool is warm, breathes, lasts and wicks sweat. They aren’t super expensive but I think he could spend a lot more money and not get anything more effective.

Thank you for your input :) Is there some cushioning in them or is it just the rubber?

Thanks for your input! :) How is the cushioning? Is there some? Or is it like walking with just socks?

I’m a fan of biothane for leashes and collars. It’s a good leather alternative, since my dog likes to chew leather but doesn’t care for biothane. They can get wet and don’t get stiff at all in the cold, and where I live it’s currently -40 F. Love that they’re washable since lord knows my dog loves to roll in anything disgusting.
But I’d stay away from the kind found in major pet stores, as it’s pretty thin and feels cheap.
I got mine from this local Canadian maker.

Relatively inexpensive: Saddleback leather
Hella expensive: Ashland
Both should be BIFL, both full grain leather. Both have a variety of size options. Ashland's leather is technically nicer, but it's hard to justify the price difference in BIFL terms. I believe Ashland is made in the USA and Saddleback in Mexico. I've had both, recently upgraded to an Ashland after my Saddleback wallet was stolen. As I said, the Ashland is hella nice, but hella expensive.
Oh, and don't forget to treat your leather with a quality cleaner/polish about once a year.
