These things are great. The ones I use have been truckin since 2010, but their dog shears wear out from heavier use (expected). Replaced our dog clippers 3x in the same time span. Saved thousands at this point, $20+ a pop for my hair, $100+ for dogs (2x), plus I started cutting our toddler’s hair earlier this year.

Oh, there is no lack of deals out there in the abundance of older Wintel hardware still circulating. If I do go that route I'll probably wind up with a ThinkPad or Latitude (my current model is an i7 E6520). No complaints and I don't anticipate replacing any circuitry soon but I confess the modularity and versatility, not to mention the current standards and performance, available with Framework designs are strong selling points.

Because the company is in its infancy it has a way to go in terms of product lineup and refinement but the ingenuity on display thus far has been quite impressive.

A good pair of tennis shoes that last longer than a few months should cost twice as much as the ones you listed. Well over 100 US dollars. With tennis shoes, the cheaper the shoe the faster they'll wear out.

Not sure if they do this in other countries, but in the U.S., if you go to a local running specialty store, you can walk on a treadmill and have your gait analyzed for free. Most running stores do this nowadays. You don't have to be a runner to have your gait analyzed, walking is fine.

Once they know your gait and whether you overpronate, supinate or are a neutral walker, they can recommend the exact kind of shoe you need. Be willing to spend at least 100 dollars if not more though. This is the best way to find a shoe that doesn't breakdown so quickly.

Start your wardrobe out with what Walmart has available and if don’t hate it then more power to you buddy. I won’t wear anything from there because of the way all of their clothes shrink, pop seams and wrinkles up worse than old Gorge Burns.

I find that the things I like to wear year after year are the clothes that continue to look as good as the day I bought them. Men’s clothes don’t change styles very much over time so if you hate clothes shopping then buy higher quality.

I have shirts from North Face, Arc’teryx, Patagonia and Smartwool that are all older than 10 years now and look nearly new still because they don’t stain wrinkle or fade. They also save me time since they don’t need folding or ironing to look great and take regular abuse.
