I hate to disappoint you, but cordless is never gonna be BIFL. Why? Batteries. That's why. Batteries will fail.
Welp. Maybe I'm wrong. Lupe seems BIFL.

Lupe is almost certainly the most BIFL cordless vacuum, they have an incredible spare parts program. I don't know what spare parts are like on Miele's cordless stuff, but I've heard that their cordless vacuums don't perform that well

LG CordZero has replaceable batteries and has done well for me in a 3 bed house.

I just got the Samsung Jet 90 for $350 after rebates from Costco. Unfortunately, that amazing deal is over. It’s Consumer Report’s top cordless stick vacuum of 2023. I’ve only had it a couple days but it is really good. But it didn’t get the best scores on carpet, so I wouldn’t recommend it if you have carpet. The batteries are separate and replaceable, which bodes well for longevity.

I bought a Lupe for this very reason. The damn thing was pricey, but you can rebuild it from the spare parts they sell directly. https://lupetechnology.com/collections/pure-cordless-spare-parts

Which dishwasher detergents contain bleach? I couldn't find any brands online that do.

Nothing cordless is BIFL. Batteries are a wear item and are invariably built in to cordless vacuums, rendering them garbage in 5 years unless you're an DIY appliance technician.
If you live in a small space, why not just drag a cord around the small space?

Sorry, I should have split up those thoughts. They can impact the finish of polished stainless (like pots and pans). It is very detergent dependent though. Some have bleach, some don't, for instance.

What abrasiives? What is fish detergent?
I'd be happy to show my polished stainless steel knives with the hard plastic handles to anyone. After at least 25 years of going through a dishwasher they still look new.
I guess it depends a lot on how one loads a dishwasher

What would a dishwasher do to a non-stick pan or skillet that had badly caked-on crud that handwashing woudn't do?

They make closed toe nonslip Crocs. Whether they are considered "professional looking" is up to op but they are comfortable

Shoes with big foam/synthetic soles break down over distance not time. Running shoes are usually 300-500 miles. Bigger hiking boots are 1000. Even if the upper is fine the sole material compresses and stops working properly. It won't matter what you spend likely. You have to be careful here as people have vastly different use patterns. I run so I go through a pair of running shoes every 6-12 months. Doesn't matter how much you spend or what you buy. It is the use that causes it to fail. Remember that there will be people that say buy X but they might only wear those shoes on the weekend so they will last far longer. The only way to get a longer lasting shoe is to go with a more traditionally made shoe with a leather foot bed. But then you lose the benefits of the modern shoe - immediate comfort, support, etc.

If you buy two pairs and swap them out every day they will last longer. If you wear shoes every day, especially the water resistant ones you'd wear in a kitchen, they don't ever dry out fully. This allows microbes to grow that make your eyes stinky but it also makes the shoes fall apart faster.

I was going to suggest this. Glad I scrolled long enough to find your comment. Fit to foot and stride is critical to getting shoes that can last.

Rectangle or square for me. Sandwiches and many other foods are normally shaped like that, but round is good for a lot of Asian dishes too.

I'd probably opt for some kind of professional-line crocks. Cheap and simple, they have decent support and are the easiest to clean. Not sure about being slip resistant, maybe some models?
