We have Heath ceramics and they are hefty and beautiful and I love them. Very solid feeling. I wouldn't recommend microwaving them, they say microwave safe ("just don't microwave a turkey on them") but they do absorb the microwaves so the food doesn't get as warm.

They also make hands down the most durable dog chew toys I've ever found.

My dog, who destroys quite literally everything, treasures a thick Tonka tire chew toy she's had for years. It's pretty fucked up at this point, but given every other toy has an average lifespan of a week or less, it's endurance is extraordinary

Don’t be afraid of your cast iron pans. My sister in law gave me an excellent griddle years ago that I was afraid to use. Then I realized that my SIL would be more unhappy that I didn’t use it than if I somehow damaged it. So I just used it. On the stove. On the BBQ. Wonderful for nice crunchy veggies. Toss a metal bowl on it to steam things. So long as you hand wash your cast iron, it’s almost certain to outlast you.

You should seek out a specialist store for bigger guys. Their clothes are made differently to normal clothes. Like, you may have to buy a 3xl for in a normal shirt, just for the added length for your torso. But it’ll probably be huge on you if you are a skinnier guy. Where as these places will have shirts that are made with a longer torso in mind, but not baggy.

All clad cookware Swingline can opener and Henkel knives made in Germany, not the other countries they are crap. Corningware or Pyrex baking dishes and measuring cups, stainless steel measuring cups and measuring spoons and a kitchen aid mixer. All the stuff I mentioned I purchased decades ago by carefully saving enough money for each item. I’ve never replaced a single one.
