I used to sweat a lot, but oddly enough, it stopped when I quit using antiperspirant and switched to just regular deodorant. I don't get pit stains with deodorant, either.

Most of us would rather deal with the stains than to have visibly wet pits in public. There’s a guy in my office known as “sweaty pit guy” just for this reason.

I use aluminum-free deodorant (MagSol) and still get stains. Unfortunately, this is the only non-aluminum deodorant that actually works for me. I’ve tried most other brands of non aluminum and none of them work at keeping neither sweat nor funk away all day.

You may have to do maintenance every few years. Daffodils, for example, will stop blooming when the bulbs reproduce and are too close together. The fix is to dig them up and spread them out.

My Bosh has been going for 21 years. One of the racks is rusting and I can no longer get parts so the New Bosh 800 will take 6 months to get. The company never recovered since Covid🙁
TeaGeo t1_jctq0xb wrote
Bosh built over 15 years ago were great. I have one now I installed 9 years ago new. Works okay but not as well built or designed. Door lift cable system failed. Obvious bad design but no Bosh support for their poor design and manufacturing. So I had to buy parts and do repair. The fault light is always on for last 7 years for the Rivne Sid dispenser. And can not put tall plate in first couple of positions on rear left dish rack or water splashes out the vent hole, fills catch tray and trips fault sensor.
It is okay, but has issues. Never buying one again. Like everything German not what it used to be.
My good buddy buys the cheapest and just figured he replaces every 5-10 years. Replacing a dishwasher is a fairly easy DIY project.

Reply to Newly purchased home. In your opinion, which Winix air purifier model is the overall best? by [deleted]
I had decided on the Winix 5500-2 and in October of last year, when the price went down to $119, I purchased two.
I wanted one with a true HEPA filter, carbon filter, reasonably priced replacement filters or off brand options. The first filter, I regularly clean off outside, as it's reusable.
I don't need the auto mode, but find it useful, as it turns the filter on when it senses enough natural or artificial light, in the morning, and goes into sleep mode when the lights go out.
It controls odors well in my teen son's room, cooking odors, and rainy day dog smell on the rest of the first floor. My son's allergies are impressively non existent. He has a mild issue with dog dander and severe allergies. The filter has the dander under control and so far tissue and allergy med usage has dropped. We'll see how it does in the spring months as pollen count rises.

I have had my IKEA ones for a year or so now and I like them. They stand up to fill and have a sleeve to keep them closed.

Reply to comment by beepityboppitybopbop in Which Bottle should I go for? by fauchis_garci
The bottles have two layers of stainless steel and they suck out the air between those two layers, this is what insulates the bottle, if there is no air in that space there is minimal heat transfer, that’s the vacuum part. So the air has leaked back into that space somehow, probably a slow leak from crappy construction as I didn’t damage the bottle, and now the bottle doesn’t insulate what’s inside. You can tell just buy filling it with hot or cold water, you feel it holding the bottle quite quickly, a good bottle you can’t tell if it’s hot or cold inside, it also sound different when you tap it, when it had a vacuum it sounds really tinny, now it’s more dull.
