Fellow Corvo kettle. I have one and it works great, just really expensive.

For sure. At any given point you can sell it for what was paid if not more.

My JC penny towels I bought in college are holding up much better than the more expensive Wamsutta ones I got a few years ago from Bed Bath Beyond. The Wamsutta ones have a bunch of pulled threads.

And then - as seen on ‘Maron’ - he went out and got one anyway.

If you’ve already used fabric softener with your towels, wash them a couple times with white vinegar to get rid of the waxy coating

Reminds me of being a poor college student but had hi-fidelity tastes and would visit stereophile stores and geek out with staff listening to the little details. Sadly, my now spotify life along with family no longer affords those dreams any longer. Rock on.

Purely a hater comment incoming, but that’s too high end to feel like it belongs here, like yea I’m sure if I could afford $5k for audio equipment sure, but like, who is this post for? For other rich audiophiles? They probs already know , this just feels like a flex on a niche item

Wife and I got some from Restoration Hardware as a wedding gift. We used them about seven years. We replaced them with an identical set. We still have the originals, now they just dry the cars.

Agreed. Never use fabric softener on anything you want to be absorbent.

Audiophiles, like most hobbies to a lesser extreme do this crazy shit. It’s barely discernible improvements for exponentially higher prices and everyone fawns over the price rather than the enjoyment.

Reply to comment by Hulkmaster in Men jacket/coat spring/autumn by Hulkmaster
I had the opposite. I had a jacket I bought 12 years ago that was torn and shredded from use so I planned to not buy Columbia again. Then on this sub someone mentioned their awesome warranty so I sent the jacket back to them to test their warranty. They gave me almost $300 in credit (I paid $60 in 2011) and I have replaced it with 2 new coats and a pair of wool socks.
Now I'm happy with them for obvious reasons.
