I have been pleased with every Whirlpool appliance I have ever owned, including washers and dryers. I don't have the Cabrio version, not sure they even make that line anymore.

Look at Roper, also made by Whirlpool. A slightly more budget line.

Whirlpool also makes Maytag now.

Nice! I wish I had the stuff my dad lost in his storage units - old Craftsman tools, a full wood shop worth of power tools and tables... It saddens me to think of it.

I try to buy the older stuff, because it was built to last! Not so sure about the new "Craftsman" stuff.

I have a bunch that have lasted forever, but they’ve all been thrifted. US Polo Assn, Polo Ralph Lauren (with the logo on the chest, NOT the bottom, which are the cheap crap ones), Land’s End, Joseph A Bank, old American Eagle, old Abercrombie and Fitch.

If you need ankle support, you want THICK leather and a high shaft (8” or more). Bootmakers like Nicks, Whites, Drew’s, JK, and Franks all fit the bill. Their leathers are so thick that boot making machines can’t work the leather, and are therefore made by hand.

I own multiple pairs from the makers above due to crappy ankles and the need for serious arch support. No other boots come close, and I’ve work a lot of different boots before finding these guys. They suck to break in, but they’re super durable, incredibly supportive, and almost infinitely repairable.

Among them, Nicks is probably my overall favorite, but you can’t go wrong with any of them.

I'm currently looking for new towels. As an impulse buy, I bought some highly rated ones on Amazon, big mistake. Washed them 6-7 times (just water) before we used them and they still lint all over.

We previously had the Charisma from Costco but it looks like their quality may not be he same as it was so I started looking. I've referred to the Wirecutter rundown quite a bit but just can't decide which way to go. It only mentions lint once, so should I assume that lint is not an issue or that they don't care?

We have "lint bunnies" all over our bathroom and that's almost the number one thing I care about. Most people don't talk about lint, they mention how absorbent and plush they are, which is also important. I have no problem washing them a few times before first use and they can lint then but not after! Every morning I get lint in my eyelashes, mouth, hair.

I need 6 bath and 6 hand towels so getting all Frontgate towels seems like a lot of money. But if they don't lint, they'll be worth it. Also was considering the Garnett Hill or Lands End. Two of the bath towels could be different from the rest, I'm almost tempted to buy from two different companies and run my own test!

Any guidance is appreciated!
