Solovair is the company that used to make Docs back in the day. They still have the same models and are hand manufactured by a small company in England. Quality is amazing and the leather looks premium. Much better than current plastic leather Docs. Got my pair of Solovair Gibsons some time ago upgrading from 1461s and they are the best shoes I had in a long time!

I have never found birkenstocks to be particularly long lasting...for me the heel always starts to wear because they are heavy and difficult to keep from dragging...the beauty of them though is that they are solid on top and built to be repaired...almost all shoe repair people are set up to do birkenstocks

Having had experience trying to wake teenagers, the "Sonic Bomb Alarm Clock with Bed Shaker" (still selling on Amazon) is highly effective at causing teenagers to literally fly out of the room.

And this was at the request of said teenager, who really didn't want to be late but just couldn't wake up the normal way.

Of course, it woke everyone in the house, too, but it was super effective.

We eventually coupled it with a medium sized pneumatic air raid horn hack on an independent clock for even more impact. One neighbor wanted the timing rolled forward about 10 minutes or so, so it could accommodate his schedule as well.

The other neighbor was an older deaf lady, so no trauma there.

Perhaps see if your blade guide rollers are spinning true. I could see them wearing out of round and introducing vibration.

Actually- does it vibrate without the blade, and then without the belt? You may be able to check if the motor shaft itself is running off axis by applying a fine tip marker to the face while it's running off belt. Moving the marker around a smidge will show you exactly where it is revolving around, hopefully dead center of the shaft.

I respect my table saw so much, I try not to bother it unless I need to.

I'll run an industrial tile saw mighty friendly-like no problem, but wood is different. I've done some stuff with my miter saw or router that I would've done better or faster on a Sawstop.

Did I read too much Stephen King at a young age if sometimes I think to myself "And as he lay there next to his hand and a static slowly filled his ears, he could still hear the saw happily spin just a little faster, a little smoother."

I think my next pair is going to be a pair of lace-to-toe smokejumpers. I have to have a safety toe for work, but I don’t need one when I’m at home working/hunting on our property. Plus, I love the look of the roughout brown leather.

Second for Remington, I generally prefer the "bar" blades that move back and forth as opposed to the circular spinning type blades and out of the handful I've owned I like the Remington's the best.

Your before and after skin care regimen can make a big difference on how your face adapts to shaving, Remington has a dry powder "Facesaver" stick that you can apply before shaving, i had a small promo one, it was nice but not worth buying for me, but if you have skin issues you should try it. Post-shave there is a lot out there but maybe look at Tendskin.

And if stubble is ok, I use a Wahl peanut to shave off anything more than 4 days of growth before shaving, maybe that is the clipper your looking for, it certainly isn't a close shave but it is very handy and will last forever.

Yeah same here. I’m going to save for another 4811 last. Every time I think about pulling the trigger, I’m like “another pair of Longliners makes better sense considering that’s what makes my money”. But would love a pair of the farmer/ranchers for after hours

Likewise. My lower back paid went away almost immediately and my posture improved dramatically. The biggest issue I have now is that when I try on any other boots (I.e. ones my work buys for me), they all feel poor fitting and cheap :(

When I was young (born in 66) my parents had Kenmore everything. I remember that avocado fridge that lasted for 35 years. It went with the house when they sold it and it was still perfect. Now with Sears' downfall and just everyday quality, I'd never buy Kenmore. Such a shame it went to shit. It's a crap shoot nowadays what to buy. LG. Samsung, I've had good and bad with them and others. I have a home warranty and when something happens I call and get it fixed.
