It's a side effect of using hard water, so if you live in an area that has soft water it's never something you probably had to deal with.

Hard water means that you have a lot of calcium and magnesium dissolved in the water. Boiling water leads to evaporation which leads to these minerals being deposited and forming a scale that impedes water flow and can cause damage to heal.

Really not a difficult problem to deal with as long as you remember to keep up with it, you can pretty easily clean it with white vinegar because that redissolves the calcium and magnesium scale.

Sure. And every decision is made with multiple factors for and against it. Just having one reason to do something doesn’t mean that another reason couldn’t still be seen as a positive by a company. Again, there is hard proof that it’s been done before, and I don’t think that companies focus on this as a business strategy. But, I think it does exist.

I don't have experience with any of those, but I see you have a slaatva latex in your list and I purchased a Sleep EZ latex mattress 2 years ago. Prior I had a memory foam from a company called Isoform Bergad who no longer makes mattresses. The memory foam was ridiculously comfortable to sleep in, it formed to your back perfectly. But edge support was horrendous, and while having sex it was literally working against you. I think the latex is a good compromise, it has more springiness and more edge support, while still contouring to your body better than a spring mattress.

I went all in on BN3TH this past Black Friday (Classic Trunk style w/95% MODAL), having worn cotton briefs (with a cotton band, not bare elastic) for most of my life beforehand.

I love mine! The best part (for me) is not having to make any adjustments at all (set it and forget it), and the strange feeling they give of not having anything on at all (which you get used to....hence the 'set it and forget it'). It's not until you have to go to the bathroom that you remember that you are actually wearing underwear (not speaking for all BN3TH owners, just me).

I hand wash mine each week (even though they ARE machine washable), just to keep them lasting as long as possible.

Looking forward to next Black Friday where I'll cash in my built-up points from my first purchase and get a nice discount on a few more pairs, which should last me for a very long time!
