No great tear or fall risk? Khaki or linen, or a lighter weight denim.

Wow! Back then we were saying that they don't make 'em like they used to, but the GE Spacemaker is a definite exception!

Running shoes typically have a life in miles not time. The synthetics in the sole compress over time. How many miles depends on how you are using them, your weight and other factors. But typically, a pair of running shoes might be good for 300-500 miles of running before the sole material starts to fail. Something like a heavier hiking shoe might be 1000 miles. You have to be very careful taking advice here about durability as use matters. You wear them once a week to go for a light walk and they might last a long time. Wearing them daily when you are on your feet all day and they will not last as long. The only way to get shoes that last longer is by going with something that has less synthetics in it. But then you use the benefit of a modern shoe with the immediate comfort and support you get.

Reply to My first potato peeler (Sparschäler) I got this Sparschäler 10 years ago already used by my grand mother. It is still a mass product and you can buy it for round about 5 USD. But this one is made in West Germany so at least 33 years old and almost daily in use. by Secundus_Scipio
It looks well cared for. Personally I prefer the Victorinox stainless steel peelers because I want to throw it in the dishwasher.

Costco also mandated that it’s partner brands only take from 11%-15% margin, so you know you aren’t being gouged.
If a brand refuses (many can’t even operate with that small of a margin) Costco has been known to private label that product.

You should try a sharp one. I thought my parents 12-year old peeler worked fine until I moved out and had to buy one of my own. The difference is night and day.

We've had the same at home for as long as I remember and we never sharpened it.. still works like it should.

My in laws use it religiously. More time consuming, but polish and wax give two different effects.

Looks like a great recommendation, but as a German, $44 for shipping is just a little steep.

Clark's Bushacre II will last 200 years.
Adidas Samba will last 100 years.
Everything else will exceed $150 save one or two that maybe someone's brain knows.

People have always cared about quality, but companies care even more about profit.
What was once affordable and commonplace quality largely gets pushed into expensive and specialist interests, over time.

It's super slick and oily, and is almost impossible to remove. It can cause lacquer to break down over time. Even if you strip it all off, it's so sticky that tiny amounts can remain. These small amounts can cause fish-eye in a new finish if it's applied over top of it. Mohawk furniture polish is my favorite for my antiques, because it works well, and doesn't contain silicone.

Check out J Crew. They have three different cuts for each of their t-shirts, and the medium tall is perfect for me at 6 feet, 165 pounds: https://www.jcrew.com/p/mens/categories/clothing/t-shirts/broken-in/broken-in-short-sleeve-t-shirt/AG008?display=standard&fit=Tall&colorProductCode=AG008&color_name=hthr-grey
