I had a few pairs of Diesel jeans and also had the issue that the crotch area got a hole in it when the rest of the jeans were still fine. At least one of them was the Larkee model. I think the combination of relatively lightweight/thin material (versus the full on selvedge) and relatively close fit means that the crotch area gets a lot of strain on the material as you move, so wears out. I didn't really find a good option as an alternative - I did some research without finding a good option so just decided not to wear jeans much. Firstly with thicker material (selvedge) I just thought the material would be too warm for me outside of cold winter days. Secondly while I don't want really tight fitting jeans I do want at least a "Straight" fit in Diesel terms because I have relatively small calves, so anything wider e.g. bootcut doesn't fit me in a way I like. But then my upper legs are relatively wide for my height so that probably makes the material tighter around crotch area. Maybe I'm an odd shape...

For jeans bought in 2015 without a receipt I would not expect a manufacturer to be providing a replacement. Even with a receipt, I think everyday clothes are an item that cannot last forever, 8 years later is too long to expect free repair/replacement unless the company has a clear lifetime guarantee.

Exped Megamat 10. As I'm writing this, there is one up on REI used for $155. Two of the singles side by side are the same as full size mattress. The only downside is that seams can fail, and they can be hard to patch.

Your other option is to get a 3x6 folding exercise mat and a twin size memory foam or egg crate topper. It is way more comfortable than you would expect, and you can get both items for under $100.

The inflatable option is the easiest to transport, but the mat + topper will likely hold up better under daily use and is significantly cheaper.

I'm in the US. Potato peelers I've got.. But I do not have a sparschäler and now I simply must have one.

I've got a spätzle maker. I've even got a potato ricer which I use mostly for making kartoffel klasse which as a youngster I'd pronounce as "God awefull glaze" when my from Germany great grandmother would make them. Even back then though I was pretty sure it translated to English as "OMG that's good" especially with the sauerbraten gravy poured over the top of them.

So far I can't seem to find a sparschäler on Amazon in that exact design. I found a couple places online that look like they are in Germany, but it doesn't seem like they ship to the US..

I've got a new mission for today.. Thank you for that.
