Mine I bought 35 years ago is this simple one. No need for fancy or pricey tools, sometimes simple does the trick and lasts a lifetime.

People do not understand the H-E-B loyalty until they've been here for a few months. I've got people in other states who ask me to ship them things now.

The 50s had loads of junk too! But we mostly only see the good shit due to survivorship bias. And the 20s had kind of a crazy amount of what we would today easily call fast fashion.

Your water bill is going to be astronomical. The company is unethical and is actively working against environmental regulations by including a eco mode that is only there so they can circumvent the law and continue to sell water hogging clothes wreckers.

The Spar- part in Sparschäler comes from the verb sparen, meaning to save, because it shaves the minimal amount of material off of your vegetable or fruit, thus saving more for actual consumption. Savings banks in German are also called Sparkasse for example and energy saving lamps are called Energiesparlampe.

In theory yes, that is what it is designed for, taught use is as described to remove spots from your fruit or vegetable.

The ones people go on about here are the commercial Speed Queens. Be warned these eat clothing for dinner and use more water. You are trading appliance shopping for clothing shopping. Maybe that's cool with you and you like clothing shopping more than me or have amazing thrift stores nearby, but it is something to know.

I own four bikes and have made bags for all of them. I can use any of them for bikepacking. (S-works Crux, Ibis HD Mojo, this bike and a Giant XTC).

Not only would that need me to buy stands for it, but hammocks are famously bad for your back in the long run. Sleeping bare on the floor would be a better solution.

I got mine in '98, but they were made in China. Lasted a long time although some of that was dormant in a flat land. One broke in so that it always pushed down on my toes and caused discomfort, but I was insistent they were buy it for life so I kept on hiking in them until the sole came off a couple years ago. All things considered, they held up pretty well over the many miles, but man I wish I had gotten them a year or two before when they were made in Italy.

Rivendell model names are all over the place, with no rhyme or reason to any of them. One model is called ‘Susie Slugstone..’. Another is the ‘Platypus’. I find them much better than model ‘XTO’ or ‘BN-FG’.

Aku still made in Italy and reasonably priced. They have some throwback styles that are similar to the other vasque style of that era. The one with the goretex on the side. I have em and really like them. Fun colors too.

I love mine, it's their low-end washer. It's not a commercial model. They only had three models. Have had it three years. I wash a lot of clothes.
