JOMO makes one that is nearly identical in construction and design. I had the same experience of getting fed up with broken glass presses. If yours is like mine, it has the added benefit that it is heavy enough to use to defend your home against intruders, and have a piping hot cup of coffee ready for them when they eventually regain consciousness!

(Seriously, DO NOT drop this thing on your foot when you are stumbling around the kitchen in the morning. The carafe won't break, your toes might not be so lucky)

Vasque quality went downhill in my experience, the glue they used on the model I bought was worthless.

Asolo are my go-to hiking boots. I'm a field geologist, so I do a lot of hiking. Most geos are harder on their boots than me, my last Asolos lasted 10 years and I still use them for yard work, just got a new pair for work/leisure hiking.

If you can find linen/silk blend garments they are awesome and 100% natural. I once found such a shirt in a thrift store and it lasted me for years. But there's a reason I only ever owned that one shirt, and as you might guess the reason is the price. A decent quality linen/silk shirt can easily cost several hundred dollars. At a guess, I'd estimate that the same quality shirt in linen/rayon would be less than 1/3 the cost.

If cost is not an obstacle, linen/silk is fantastic. If you're not independently wealthy, stick with linen/rayon. Pure linen is hard to find for reason--it's not as good as the blends.

It's not an artifact, I have this bad boy since 2018. It's all stainless steel and very thick.

I had a glass langostina french press that my gf broke, and I told myself that I would look for one that would never break.

Found this on amazon for quite cheap, and seriously, I dont know how anyone could break that.

I hope my great-grandchildren will like it!

Weird to see this, for me. My mom's (old) house has this exact oven/stove. I grew up on it, and I use it a few times a year now when I visit for holidays and the like. It's a perfectly serviceable appliance, outlasting every other kitchen appliance that house came with several times over. We always talk about the day it inevitably dies, though, because I can't imagine it will be repairable, and my mom has no intention of trying to replace it with something new, either (she's not much for cooking).
