I'll use the nice looking glass press if I'm drinking coffee in the morning with my partner since we'll finish it all right away, but on my own an insulated press is amazing. Press, pour one cup, enjoy the cup, work a bit, pour another cup 30 minutes later and it's still as hot as the first pour. Truly underrated feature in a french press.

u/ZakaryLakota I just got an email that they're doing preorders for these for delivery soon: https://kommandostore.com/products/new-production-austrian-paratrooper-boots

I have no affiliation with that shop but have bought a bunch of Eastern European used combat boots from them in the past. All have been excellent. The ones in that link are new production though which is neat.

These are also in stock used and only in her size. They're a winter version though, so keep that in mind: https://kommandostore.com/collections/footwear/products/austrian-ranger-boot

There's also Jim Green boots for an African styled boot. I love their Vellies, though those are more of a chukka. Their AR8 may fit the bill for your fiance and they're Goodyear welted and really durable.

I don't know if they are nicer than Hotel Collection or not, but I suspect more likely to be BIFL. I actually just saw Macy's has some Hotel Collection sheets for a little bit more than I got the Red Land Sheets for (after a 50% discount code "VIP"). Might be worth checking out, they are definitely nice.

We have one of these. We use it for our “glamping” trips. I don’t have to worry if it gets knocked around a bit along with other gear.

Pretty much indestructible.

I bought one for a rough work environment hoping it would give me better and cheaper coffee than the break room machine. The steel just has too much thermal mass. It would cool the water too much before the coffee was done. It was vacuum insulated, but I would still have to pre-heat it a lot.

Great find! I have Hotel Collection towels that I found on clearance when they were changing the pattern of the stitching on the edges. Definitely worth the splurge for me! I think they were actually top rated by Good Housekeeping, but I don't know if I can trust those kind of reviews. I'm suspicious some companies pay for their products to be highly rated there. For example, how they highly rate some very throw away quality vacuum cleaners.

But cheaper than Hotel Collection and nicer? When I need new sheets, I will definitely keep these in mind. I used to love feeling the luxury of the Hotel Collection display beds when I worked at Macy's. The kind of stuff I always imagined putting in my dream home.
