Wish I could fit them but I’ve got calves like Christmas hams. Only boots I’ve found that come close are Lacrosse Alphaburly Pro side zip and that’s if I leave them unzipped. Although last pair I had I blew through in about a year before they split along the back heel and shredded my skin along the Achilles on a walk. I did get Lacrosse to replace them and bought some rubber treatment to apply. Hoping this time I get a little more use out of them.

Ankarsrum. Truly BIFL.

Kitchen Aid is trash these days. I burned up an Artisan, rebuilt it, burned it up again, bought a pro-line, was well on my way to killing it, retired it to backup duty and bought an Ankarsrum. Couldn’t be happier.

Nobody even considers Cuisinart when talking stand mixers.

They're definitely worth the money, but regular use wears them out. The rubber on mine is cracking at flex points and the left one lets water seep in slowly. There really isn't a way to repair them either. I'm 100% buying a new pair in the next few years.

I didn’t approach my linen with the BIFL. I bought the old ikea linen set sheets about 6 years ago to see if I liked it and it’s still going strong now. I wash gentle with Woolite and air dry.

I got my linen comforter from quince and have had it about 8 months, so I can’t vouch for durability. But they have a 1 year return policy.

The down duvet insert is fjallarnika.

Not necessarily high income. Many folks I know with rugs like this are regular people in the suburbs and they used to belong to grandparents. They didn't used to cost so much 50-100 years ago. But! I have seen them literally rolled up and left in the street in rich neighborhoods for people to take. 2 in the last month! (I don't have room or I would've taken them) Often furniture is left out the same way. If you have a high end area take a drive or stroll through at 3-4pm. I don't know why but it's the magic hour in our town.

Any metal water bottle will last you way longer than any plastic one. I only use a flexible reusable plastic one when mountain biking. If I have a metal water bottle on the holder it will get destroyed by the time I descend to the bottom of the hill.

I personally use a hydroflask. I know its pricy, but the design is nice. It is susceptible to dents and what not, but it still holds water fine. There are plenty of cheaper waterbottles that are metal and are as of if not better quality.

I went through my pair of Mucks pretty quick so I got me some of the Chore boots. They seem to be holding up well but they’re not comfortable if you don’t wear some real thick socks.
