I love mine too. Although it doesn’t have the street cred yours has, but its still great.

Ive got the same one; had it for at least 20 years now. Not a dent to be seen, even though I’ve dropped it plenty of times. Same deal with the fountain pens Parker makes; they’re virtually indestructible.

Have you tried rinsing your rice first to get some starch out?

I have a newish Zojirushi (5 years old). It makes perfect rice every time. I've owned cheaper rice cookers and they're fine, but this is noticeably better. It has never boiled over with rice. I did boil it over once when I made oatmeal and forgot to select the porridge option. No issues making oats when I do remember to select the porridge option.

I have not. It mostly lives in my pocket though I do occasionally clip it to the pen pocket on my shirts or tactical pants. You can pull the clip off though and reform it which was one of the things that couldn't be done with the Zebra F701 I was using prior.

make sense, but it still just writes like a common pen (writing quality aside)
is there a secondary market for designer pens?

EDIT: trying to understand, because I would have lost it in a week.

How's this do with boil over? I have a cheap Black and Decker one that can't seem to cook small quantities without a bubbly mess.

I honestly can’t believe the numbers I am throwing out. 35 years, 20 years… it feels like I bought this stuff last month. How the hell did I get so old so fast lol!

Birkenstock. Arizona model is their classic and can usually be found under $100.
If you like more sport-tuned sandals try the Birkenstock water-friendly line.

I have one of the metal and others a few. They are still the same I think people just found more high end options. For me .. reliable, comfortable, compact.
Doesn't look bad in any form either.
I mean I'm sure there's metrics and studies and cliques with different opinions for me it's the same form factor, it's a pen that writes reliably and doesn't blowup in my pocket.(terrible habit of pocket pen carrying but hey I guess I've been ok with these....what more do I want.

I have a 70s sunbeam I found at an estate sale. Still had the instruction manual and everything! I more often use a kitchen aide from my husbands grandmother I’m not sure when it’s from but it’s and older model made in Troy Ohio so likely 1950s. It says on the label Hobart Troy Ohio so maybe look for that?

I love the Dr. Scholl’s sandals I have. My oldest pair is four years and they show no signs of being a bad investment so far. All the shoes have better arch support than standard flat sandals which is good for your walking in them for a while request. I’m gonna see how long they last since I wear these shoes a lot but they’ve held up so far.

I have a parker IM ballpoint pen and i absolutely love it. First pen that lasted more than 2 years without losing it. The refils might be expensive but they write so smooth and last for a long ass time

I’ve used a similar razor for years. I shave fast and haven’t cut myself in years. There’s a very small learning curve. Well worth the switch

Agreed! I've only had mine for 3 years and I wear them everyday. They work great for almost every terrain I've been faced with. Definitely recommend 👌

I recently found out about Klogs, they make kitchen shoes, as in shoes for people who stand and walk non-stop all day. They have medium and wide variants, and have a round toe for all the shoes. My wife finds them exceptionally comfortable.
Personally, I blame New Balance and Brooks for messing with my back, due to their foot bed angle. They lean slightly outward and I would too frequently roll my right ankle. Until recently I had been wearing Hoka, which are neutral, I never rolled my ankle in them, and they have very thick foam in the outsole. They're extremely cushioned feeling, yet it is easy to walk in them for long periods.
Currently I have Alan Edmonds sneakers but they're not for all day activity, at least not until I break them in more.
Between Klogs and Hoka, I think the Klogs will last a lot longer, and as long as they fit well they should be more comfortable. Once the insole wears out, Klogs has replacements. It's too bad they don't do outsole replacement.
