Depends what hobbies you do! I could easily use that up upgrading my backpacking gear and maybe a few nice to haves on my weightlifting stuff like nicer plates. They are very much BIFL items, but the bigger ones add up fast, esp for oly sizes.

Can you buy an item for $1500 and then return it for cash? That's what I would do if I was forced to buy something I didn't need.

Keep the box, they don't seem to depreciate much.

Tell me more about the compression boots. I’ve been interested in those for running and weightlifting recovery.

For sure! It seems so cool. I’m worried about the learning curve and having it be an expensive deadweight though.

Heck yes, great call. I already have a squat rack and weights. Best decision ever.

Theragun and compression boots will get you there. Lifesavers.

You have a point - but I certainly hope that’s not the case! Though, typically those types of moves come after an acquisition of sorts ie. Remington. To my knowledge Miele has not changed ownership.

Reply to Tommy Hilfiger boots, worth the price? by [deleted]
I have a friend who worked in a shoe store and she says Tommy Hilfigers are the worst quality - customers were bringing them back constantly due to numerous issues with quality. So if you want quality footwear and not just pretty ones then skip them.

Agree it should work out of the box. Just thought a quick fix might have been easier than repacking and schlepping it.

Reply to Looking for bicycle recommendations by Sargaxon
That's a bit of a tight budget for something like this. You're better off buying used. Your money will go a lot further. The problem there is that you need to know what you're looking for. As others have said, your assumptions are a little off right now. There's a bit too much to go into really. But get a touring style/hybrid bike. Talk to some local shops, particularly those that sell used bikes. There isn't a particular brand(s) to buy because you're so limited with budget. That and if you take care of the bike, even if it's dirt cheap it should still last a very long time.
Happy to help you a bit more with what recommendations for type of bike if you'd like but I would have some more questions for you.

I would be happy to break this down as I really recommend oil heaters! Of course, your mileage may vary if you live in a warmer climate and/or have better insulation. Let’s say I want to have my room at about 22C for 6 hours though.
The oil heater does take some time to get really hot, about 1 hour. If I run it for a total of 5 hours at 700w that’s 4 hours of heat. Then after unplugging it, the hot oil can keep my room warm for 2-3 more hours. Being conservative, let’s assume 2. That’s 6 hours of heat for 5 hours running time at 700w. The fan heater on the other hand heats up the room pretty quickly. I only need to run it for half an hour at 1500w to get to 24C. But to maintain it, it has to stay running. If we assume the low 750w setting is adequate to do so, that’s 6 hours of heat for 5.5 hours of runtime at 750w. Plus the half an hour of 1500w. In my experience the oil heater pulls ahead even more but again, in optimal conditions it may not be something you personally notice. I’ve noticed savings already though and these will only add up more significantly throughout the year.

A indoor spin bike. A good quality one will last forever, can be used during bad weather, and will give you the gift of a healthier life.

Do you frequently need tools around the house? Get a very nice toolkit with all the Alan wrenches, socket wrenches, pliers, regular wrenches, drill bits, and a ratchet screw driver with changeable heads (which I also use in my drill)

I have size 15s. A lot of the time when they make shoes big, they don't do it proportionally. The brands I have found get it right are Ecco, Keen, and lately Sketchers Go Walks specifically.

Which parts are wearing out? I haven't found a shoe sole that lasts more than 500 miles. If he's working 50 hours a week, then he's probably putting in at least 6 or 7 miles a day on those. That's maybe three months for the soles.

Or a canary in the mineshaft. It wouldn’t be the first company that built a loyal following with excellent quality only to cash in churning out cheap, garbage versions of their product.
Looking at you Kitchen-aid mixers and Remington Arms.

They're like an everyday powemassage. They push the fatigue out of your legs (or arms if you buy a model that has that add-on). There are many brands with all different specs and possibilities. Best massage tech on YouTube has a number of reviews and comparisons.
