Husband and I recently moved to Hartford, and on Christmas Eve we went to see the new Avatar movie - currently smashing box office records nationwide - at the fancy theater in downtown. We were the only people in the theater! On Christmas Eve, which is traditionally a big movie-going day!
I love cities and deliberately prioritized living in Hartford rather than the surrounding suburbs when we moved to the area from NYC, but it's hard to understand what it would take to bring downtown Hartford back if this is where things currently are.
