where do Connecticuters go on vacation?

I have over 3k to spend on vacation, and a lot of time. I would love to hear recommendations. I have visited a couple of countries with family ,but I will go alone for the experience this time. I have another 1.5k only for flight tickets, so I think I will do great with 3k for a couple weeks.
