There’s comedy nights on Tuesdays in Manchester at the hungry tiger.

Max downtown, wadsworth Atheneum, and a few other monuments downtown are nice to checkout. Max is a good hang albeit expensive and the others are one offs. Go into the Goodwin hotel and ask them for a tour map to check out the area, they’ll tell you where to go if you imply to the concierge that you’re staying there.

If you wanna catch a comedy night at the tiger lmk and I’ll come have a drink with you

Reply to Yale by thug_nificent

I grew up near Harvard and MIT. The areas surrounding the schools are in high demand from both graduates and the general public. I personally think it’s odd how Yale is surrounded by areas that most Yale grads won’t to make their permanent home. It’s a huge loss to CT that YALE isn’t required to do A PILOT (payment in lieu of taxes) to help their community at large.

Well, that’s a pretty snotty way of asking for advice!

Do you have a car? What activities do you typically enjoy? What kind of food? Some specifics would be helpful.

(And addicts on the streets of Manchester??? Are you SURE you’re from LA?)

I moved here from LA 25 years ago and I’m still sad lol. Glastonbury has a few good hangout bars, Rooftop, Plan B, The Diamond. West Hartford is great for shopping dining etc, and Mystic is a nice day trip.

Main Street in Manchester or just off has some good stuff all within about a one mile…good food/bars, breweries, some cool stores like Retro Junk and a bunch of other small businesses. Look at schedules for the restaurants or breweries, most have live music or other events on weekends.

Or if it’s more your thing, there’s a board game place that does big events and mixers fairly often…can’t recall the name of the place, perhaps someone can help me out.
