This is a smart move by Lego. Yes it sucks for CT but it only makes sense. Boston is a college city. They have a huge pool of highly educated graduates willing to deal with the expenses of city life. They are able to make connections with schools and create internships within there company. All the large business do it in Boston and given the nostalgia component of the company this will be huge for them. Lego is looking for fresh talent and this only makes sense. It’s going to suck for current employees because they will have to move over an hour or 2 outside the city to find anything less than million dollars. But overall this is a smart move by Lego for there company as a whole.

I feel the need to preface this by saying I'm not advocating for this, I'm predicting it will happen. This is not an endorsement of violence, it's a suspicion that violence will occur due to the circumstances that are part of the conversation.

There, now that the disclaimer is out of the way, what you're describing sounds like a recipe for vigilantism. Someone is going to get the bright idea to be Batman and come in with some friends to beat the crap out of the thieves... and this cannot end well.

Regardless of the points, make sure you pay the ticket. Sometimes folks decide not to because they figure they won't be driving there again. I got a ticket in RI many years ago and forgot to pay it (Definitely not on purpose, because I'm certainly going to drive there again.) When I went to renew my CT license they refused to, because my right to operate in RI had been suspended. I had to drive to RI and pay the several year-old ticket before I could renew.

Interesting. Trinity actually reached out to me first, then told me I wasn’t worth their time if I wasn’t going to cut a large tree down.

Other Solar estimates with the tree in place still appears to save me money.

Maybe I’ll try them again, but not off to a great start.

I had my 14kw roof mounted system installed for around $35k in August 2022 by Trinity Solar. They did great work and were reasonably priced, based on other quotes. We bought the panels but financed them through Sunnova. It was no money down and a decently low rate. Plus we will be getting almost $10k in rebates from the feds with our taxes.

You make a good point about that rate hikes. That plus inflation may be the reason for the increase.

When I lived in NL I had the AT&T fiber and it was stellar. Very very few outages, and the TV service was the best (I know that doesn't matter to you in this case.)

Here in Mystic we can either have Comcast or Breezeline. I have had Breezeline (formerly Thames Valley,) because I refuse to Reno the devil with Comcast. My neighbor switched to Comcast a couple of years ago, and then switched back.

Last week I was complaining to my SO about the hidden charges on my Breezeline acct. For their Gold package for Internet and TV it's about $110 a month, but the additional fees are over $50 a month! I am paying almost $25 a month for the local TV fee and the local sports fee, neither of which I even use. I've considered just going to Internet only, however in my case I'd need to subscribe to an iPTV, and that would jack my monthly cost to over what I pay now.

Who is fantasizing killing kids? Is that your inability to comprehend thoughts and feelings outside of your own? You’re right. You’re not going to get involved in that because you’re not going to get involved in anything because you would rather delegate that to men and women stronger/smarter or weaker/dumber because you have no real thoughts.

If the state won’t prosecute this shit and the parents don’t care/aren’t there then ultimately it’s going to get left in the hands of people like you, me, the guy pictured. The kid stealing the car has to decide if it is worth getting shot over. I have to worry about the kid deciding his right to my stuff is more important than my life and safety. Maybe after a few of these kids get aired out in the fucking street the state and prosecutors will step back in the arena and do their jobs. But until that day, I think this guy makes a strong case for open season. They can’t arrest all of us, can they.

I know it’s been typical to hate comcast but they’ve been weirdly amazing to me lately. Halved my bill for no reason, a month later doubled my speed, sent a crew to fix the internet on our street within a few hours when construction messed it up, etc. Not sure if i’m lucky or if they’ve turned it around?
