Reply to comment by Yum_Kaax in Lamont proposes allowing CT pharmacists to prescribe birth control by gabbydeben
I was actually going to bring this up. Those who object to birth control due to religious reasons also seem to forget that birth control is used for more than just not getting pregnant

Why remove religion from the equation when we can continue to let the backward teachings of omnipotent entities who have no proof of existence dictate our daily lives?

No subsidies from Boston or MA (they don’t need to give out subsidies to attract companies).
They’re leaving for the better talent pool that Boston attracts. CT desperately needs to invest in New Haven (Hartford is a lost cause barring federal money for big infra projects)

Ubiquiti Ailen router can do like 600/600 over WiFi. Maybe a little higher if you’re in the same room.
Tough to get more than that over WiFi.

Frontier Fiber, it’s symmetrical. Xfinity has pretty slow uploads comparatively.

Reply to Can someone give me piano lessons? by topsheetisamust
There are lots of piano teachers in CT. Pretty much every music shop will have teachers that give lessons. They don’t care how old you are.

Aldi selling wine seems dangerous lol, each bottle would be like $3. All jokes aside, is that a thing in other states? Don’t recall seeing any of the maybe 4 locations I’ve been to in CT selling any type of alcohol other than white claw hard seltzer knockoffs.

It's a prescribed medicine, should be a doctor or clinic. Pharmacists have enough to do filling scripts. Everyone should stay in their lane. This is stupid.

This sounds true but I feel it's more about working in main cities. They're all over the world.

Reply to comment by foodcoma85 in New Haven Board of Ed. security officer fires gun at teen who was breaking into his car: PD by EasyE0287
Anyone who willingly steals from another has to be at least dimly aware of the possibility of death. A theft might cost someone their livelihood, and I won’t disparage anyone who defends that. Harming the perpetrator is not something I’m against.
That being said, this case isn’t a good example of that. You’re right in that deadly force shouldn’t be used in a situation where you’re not being actively threatened, and definitely shouldn’t be used in a pursuit like this guy did. If weapons were drawn I’d disagree with you, but after reading the article, I take back my kneejerk reaction.

That move doesn’t seem to have helped GE (at least judging by their stock price).
